5 PlayStation exclusives you need to play before the PS5 comes out

Hey everyone! by this point, you probably have watched the PlayStation 5 reveal and like me, you are super excited about the games that were shown. Both first and third-party games look so incredibly good. So, while I was daydreaming about PS5 I found out I still need to play some games on my PS4. I’m talking about must-play games, the ones you bought a console for.

So with that in mind, today I’ll talk about first-party games available on PS4. Five PlayStation franchises you need to catch up with (if you haven’t of course).

    Ratchet & Clank

I’m one of those sinners who have yet to catch up with this franchise. I barely play the first one and as my backlog became bigger I couldn’t get into the PS3 entries. But after watching the new game on the PS5 live stream I made up my mind. So, my own personal goal before PS5 arrives is to buy and beat the PS4 reboot. The action-adventure videogame was released in 2016 and works as a reboot of the franchise. There is also a CGI movie about the game, it’s not a masterpiece but it’s quite enjoyable indeed.

    Horizon Zero Dawn

One of the newest IPs from PlayStation most PS4 owners fell in love with. The game features an interesting story about a post-apocalyptic world where machines pray humans in the wilds. The main character Aloy became of the most important icons of PlayStation such a Nathan Drake and Kratos.

A few minutes of the sequel Horizon Forbbiden West were played in the PS5 reveal event where new gameplay mechanics were shown. It’s fair to say that Guerrilla Games will provide another awesome experience traveling a bigger world, fighting deadlier and machines.

    Marvel’s Spider-Man

One of the biggest surprises of this generation. Even though we had videogames about the web-swinger in both PS3 and PS4 none of those give us such an experience. The game features amazing graphics, well-worked gameplay, and a masterpiece of script and characters. Even though the sequel is still in development, we will have an expansion of the game featuring Miles Morales when the PS5 launches later this year. So what better time to finally give this game a try? That’s if you haven’t of course (which I’ll be surprised).

    God Of War

Winner of the 2018 GOTY award, with no doubts, one of the best games on the PS4 line-up. The developers somehow managed to make God of War even better than before. Making a story so intriguing, as well as emotional but also bold gameplay, were each battle feels unique, a beautiful and mysterious world to explore… it’s just crazy. You can’t go wrong with this game, just play it.

We still don’t know anything about the sequel except for the fact that it must be in development. Besides for those of us who beat the game, we know what is coming and it´s probably going to be another GOTY winner.

    Uncharted

Even though Uncharted 4 was the end of Nathan Drake’s adventures, we received another game in the form of Uncharted: Lost Legacy. So now that The Last Of Us Part II is out of the way we can expect a new game. It may be another adventure starring Chloe Frazer or maybe even Sam Drake. I’m really excited about the future of this franchise.

Uncharted games have always feature a thriller adventure to beautiful locations in search of tresures. So if you are fan of Tomb Raider or even the Indiana Jones movies, you will love these games. You can find them all on PS4 if by some unknown reason you haven’t play any of them. Also, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection which includes the first 3 games, was free a couple of motnhs ago, so you may want to check your game library.

These are some of the games I’ll be playing for the next months. And some of the games I’ll be looking forward in the next years.

So, are you up to date with all these games? Or do you need catch up with any of them? Let us know, and also, let us know if you think there’s another franchise we need to play before PS5.
