In the Legacy of the First Blade DLC, you team up with Darius, the wielder of the 1st hidden blade. Here is our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: Legacy of the First Blade Review.
The DLC was developed by Ubisoft Québec and published by Ubisoft, it was released in parts starting on December 04, 2018, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
In the DLC, you will come across Darius and his son (or daughter if you place as the male main character). While being hostile at first, they quickly find common ground and take down a new group invading the regions of Greece. Over the 3 episodes they grow closer and you will see a brand new side of Kassandra (or the male version), a side I didn’t expect to see at first but grown to love very quickly.
It’s a very good story and over the 3 episodes it never really overstayed its welcome mainly due to the fact that each episode takes place in another region. The DLC makes great use of areas that were basically empty of content in the main game bringing more life into the world and showing a spotlight on locations the main games didn’t go.

The gameplay is exactly the same as the main game, it did introduce some new abilities, but you were already able to use those during the main game if you have the DLC installed there, so it doesn’t really feel like DLC powers anymore, but they are nice non the less.
Just like the gameplay, the visuals are pretty much the same, but the new enemies do have a pretty cool look to them. They are from Persia, and it’s clear to see with the dark colors. The whole new enemy group is just very cool and they introduce some new enemy powers as well that make some really stand out.
