In The Fate of Atlantis DLC, you will go to 3 different realms and help the gods that inhabit them. Here is our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: The Fate of Atlantis Review.
The DLC was developed by Ubisoft Québec and published by Ubisoft, it was released in parts starting on April 23, 2019, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
After the end of the Atlantis storyline in the main game, you will get a staff that gives you access to some simulated realms of the gods, or if you have followed the series since the beginning, the Isu. you will get access to these worlds to learn more about the staff, that is basically it. But the gods aren’t always on your side and try to make it a longer adventure than it should have been. The DLC overstays its welcome big time with some of the episodes just taking way too long without any real interesting things to do.
The gameplay is exactly the same as the main game, but it does have some new collectibles and you can free enemies to recruit them to your army for the final mission in the 1st episode. There are also these slates you can get that give you an alternate ability that you can use if you upgraded that one to level 3, personally, I didn’t really like most of them other than the poison one that does more damage against enemies. Other than that, there are new types of mercenaries called Fallen in the 2nd episode and information boxes and slates in the 3rd.

The worlds looks great on paper, but actually traversing it is just terrible and makes the DLC so much worse than it needs to be. My favorite area was the one with Hades, not because of the colors, but because it’s the only one that’s easy to traverse and doesn’t have annoying climbing bits.
