If you are going to play this game, you have two options. Your friendship is going to end directly or your friendship will be stronger and you will have an amazing time. The game offers a single-player and co-op experience, but we especially recommend co-op. Here is our Biped Review.
Biped is a coop action-adventure game with a strong focus on moment-to-moment collaboration between 2 players. Playing with a friend makes the game more difficult, but you will never forget this moment. The game is developed by: NEXT Studios and is published by META Publishing.
If you like to play the game less stressful, you can play the game in solo mode (or when you don’t have friends). I really enjoyed playing this game even while playing solo. Solo felt way more “calm and cozy”, while co-op felt like I was going to lose my voice while screaming at my friend. (Editor Note: for the mistakes Mike made himself)
The movement is really challenging, but not in a bad way. It makes the game how the game needs to be. You can choose between “just walking” or “skating”. Walking doesn’t work like walking in other games because you need to move your thumbsticks like you use your legs in real life. This sounds simple, but it takes a surprising amount of precision and cooperation, especially in the later levels where the difficulty skyrockets. (Another Editor Note: Mike was just really bad at it… especially at the parts where you can only set 1 step and he would constantly do 2) This creates funny and chaotic moments but also makes the puzzles dynamic and increasingly challenging.

When you try to complete the level, you are also able to pick up coins and do challenges to get stars. With the coins you get, you can buy skins for your character. No microtransactions, just play the game and grind coins to get good-looking skins.

The levels in Biped are colorful and varied with a friendly atmosphere. The puzzles range from simple to quite complex, especially in the later levels. The music really fits the vibe and the game sound effects make the game even better. The co-op levels often require precise timing and teamwork, which makes the game extra fun for friends or family members. Although some challenges can be a bit frustrating, they ultimately provide a great sense of accomplishment when completed.

I really enjoyed playing this game. The mechanics are fresh and innovative and the level design looks really good. The level design is colorful and the puzzles are fun. And the fact that you are not forced to necessarily play with anyone is Biped’s biggest plus. And another surprise: they announced a sequel (Q2 2025)! Excited to play Biped? We are going to give away a Steam copy! Keep an eye on our socials!
