Clu Clu Land Review

Clu Clu Land is a puzzle game where you control the blob by sticking out your hand and grabbing a pin. Here is our Clu Clu Land Review.

The game was developed by Nintendo R&D1 and published by Nintendo, This version was originally released on November 22, 1984, for the Nintendo Entertainment System but has been ported over to the majority of Nintendo platforms. It’s currently also available on the Nintendo Switch Online NES Service, this is also the version I played to review the game.

Clu Clu Land is a game I never heard of before but wish I did, it’s a simple game that could still be a pretty popular game if it was made today. it’s so simple and really doesn’t need any info before playing, it doesn’t have a story and doesn’t need to have anything in these types of games.

All you do is grab a pin to turn and you need to figure out the shape you got to make with the coins that pop up. It’s an easy concept but there is something making it harder, these virus-looking things are there to screw you up, and also some portal that I only realized later that it wasn’t a teleporter but a death portal…

While it is a lot of fun, there is a limit, because after about 30 minutes I did get a bit more bored and had the feeling of “Been there done that” and moved on, there isn’t much change to the game after a few levels. For the time you spend on it, you will for sure have fun, as long as you don’t overplay it, it’s a fun game to come back to once in a while.
