Introduction:
Welcome to the Death’s Door Trophy Guide!
In this Guide I will help all my fellow Beakfaces achieve the Death’s Door platinum as easily as possible!
Roadmap:
Step 1: Complete the Game, Missable Trophies, and Optional Academy of Umbrellas
During this step, your main focus should absolutely be to enjoy the game and have fun. This is why I am making it optional to achieve the Academy of Umbrellas trophy in this step or not. If you are not going for this trophy, then you will have to play through the game in full a second time, but could be somewhat easier now that you have gotten a feel for the game. If you go for this trophy on this playthrough, then you are looking at a 2 step guide to ultimately achieving your platinum.
Regardless on if you go for this trophy or not, there are two more missable trophies in this game that you need to pay attention to. They are both during boss fights, and will occur in this order:
Hot Put – During the Grandma / Urn Witch Boss Fight after achieving the fire spell
Meal for a King – During the Frog King Boss Fight after achieving the bomb spell
Both of these trophies require you to perform a specific action during the fight, and if you do not do it when you initially fight them, you will need to play through the game up until that point to try again. If you want this playthrough to be a strict / only fun playthrough where you don’t pay attention o the trophies, then both of these trophies can also be obtained in your Umbrella playthrough.
I suggest not going out of your way to look for collectibles just yet, as most of them cannot be obtained until after beating the game / collecting all of the abilities. After defeating the final boss you will be able to pick up a key that he drops in order to access a new area which grants you access to the True Ending, as well as all of the remaining collectibles you do not yet have. After completing the game you are now ready for Step 2 of this guide.
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Hot Put
Meal for a King
Crow Gamer
Step 2: Collectibles, Miscellaneous, True Ending, 100%
I only listed 3 trophies earned in the above step, but it is likely you will collect more trophies without even trying and just by exploring the game. After completing the game and turning it to nighttime, you will now have access to all upgrades, all collectibles, and all post game content. In this step your ultimate goal will be to achieve the in game 100% as everything revolving around the 100% is tied to separate trophies anyways. There will also be a couple trophies not tied to the 100%, but are tied to other trophies needed for the platinum trophy.
Each and every trophy below will have a detailed description on obtaining that specific trophy, as well as the 100% trophy itself. In this step you will be doing basically everything that this game has to offer, but you got the hardest parts out of the way. The longest part about this section will likely be collecting and planting all of the seeds. Depending on how many you collected, it could take longer than doing the true ending. The guides for each trophy are written to ensure that you get them as hassle / stress free as possible. Enjoy this section while it lasts, because your journey is soon coming to an end.
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Banging Tune
Clever Too Much
A Stroll With Jefferson
Conga Line
Squid Soup?
No Threat Detected
In Caw-Hoots
Cremation
Demo Crow
Crouching Tiger Hidden Crow
Hawk Eye
Specialist
Big Spender
Weapon Master
Plot Head
Ooh Shiny!
Zen
Reap what you sow
Lord of Chores
A True Ending
Step 3: Optional – Academy of Umbrellas Trophy
This step is only required if you did not complete your umbrella playthrough in step 1. If you already did this playthrough, then congratulations as you already have your platinum trophy. If you still need to complete this playthrough, then this will be your last step.
This trophy requires you to complete the entire game while using the Discarded Umbrella as your only melee weapon. For tips, tricks, and information on how to earn the trophy as easy as possible, please see the Academy of Umbrellas trophy.
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Academy of Umbrellas
The Shiniest Thing

Trophy Guide:
![]() ![]() Obtain all trophies and reap the ultimate reward |
Congratulations on obtaining every trophy in the game and obtaining your new Platinum Trophy! You are truly a Beakface now!
![]() ![]() Beat the game |
This trophy is obtained after successfully beating the game.
After collecting all 3 of the big / boss souls from The Urn Witch, The Frog King, and finally Betty the Yeti, you are ready for the final section of the game which is of course the hardest part of the game. After achieving all 3 of the souls you must travel back to the lost cemetery and go to where the Death Door is located where you met the crow near the beginning of the game. After going back to the door with all 3 souls you will trigger a cutscene and enter the door where you are then greeted by Death himself.
It will be a lengthier dialogue section but eventually trigger a buss fight with The Grey Crow:
As the fight goes on and you begin to empty the bosses health, he will begin to use more moves and get much more aggressive. He will charge at you in multiple directions as well as send smoking crows in your direction to make it tougher. Just continue to roll around and damage him when you can with fire attacks and your weapon whenever you can get close enough.
After defeating the Grey Crow, Death will instruct you in going back to the Hall of Doors where you will have to face off against your boss the Lord of Doors. Once you arrive back to the Hall of Doors, there will be a new door available to open when you are ready to begin the final boss fight:
Enter the door when you are ready to begin the final and most lengthy boss fight of the entire game. During this fight there will be multiple phases in which you will be attacking the Lord of Doors in all of the areas you have visited within the game, followed by areas in between in which you must maneuver around using your hook blade while dodging the bull doors.
After multiple different areas you will finally make your way back to the Hall of Doors in which the final phase can begin against The Last Lord:
This fight is the hardest of the game. You will have to dodge multiple different attacks and moves, while also having to avoid laser beams, more bull doors, bombs, and more.
Just play it smart and only attack when you feel comfortable, and don’t get greedy with your attacks. If you can only wack him 1-2 times before rolling out of the way, then do so and then him him with magic at a distance. After finally defeating him here in this area, you will have officially beaten the game and unlocked this trophy.
If you beat the game using nothing but your umbrella as a melee weapon, then you will unlock Academy of Umbrellas as soon as you defeat him as well. You will unlock this specific trophy for beating the game as soon as all of the credits run and you see his body getting dragged away by the gatekeeper. If you thought you were done with the game, then think again. Upon defeating The Last Lord, he will drop a key in his place and you can now pick it up and start going for the true ending to unlock the
A True Ending trophy. (See this trophy for more info)
![]() ![]() Beat the game only ever using an umbrella as your melee weapon |
*Missable Trophy*
This trophy is unlocked after beating the game while only using your umbrellas as your melee weapon for the entirety of the game.
From the start of the game you will be taken to the Hall of Doors which acts as the main hub for this game. Up the stairs here and to the left you will find the umbrella you are looking for:
You must pick this weapon up IMMEDIATELY before going through your first door to the Grove of Spirits. Pick this weapon up and immediately pause your game and equip it. It is of course the weakest weapon in the game, while only doing half of the damage as your starting weapon. For the remainder of the game until you beat the Last Lord, you must use only this weapon as your melee weapon and not equip any other weapons.
It is best to upgrade your magic as well as your strength as soon as you can to make things as easy as possible for you. You can use as much magic as you want, and it will not negate the trophy. The only reason you would not unlock this trophy is if you equipped another melee weapon or entered the Grove of Spirits without first obtaining and equipping this weapon. This does obviously make the game more difficult, especially if you are new to the game and trying to complete everything in a single playthrough.
If you did everything correctly and only used the umbrella as your melee weapon, then the trophy will unlock immediately after defeating the last lord.
![]() ![]() Feed the Frog King an explosive treat |
*Missable Trophy*
This trophy is earned after feeding the Frog King an explosive treat.
This is one of the missable trophies in the game, and takes place during the Frog King boss fight after obtaining your bomb spell. It is a missable trophy because if you beat him without obtaining this trophy, you will not be able to face him again without starting a new game first. Be sure to obtain this trophy during the boss fight, or you will have to start a new game.
Midway through the fight, The Frog King will jump in the water and come back with some new moves. He will eventually jump into the water while tilting the stage up in the air and begin to sucky sucky you in, so be sure to be standing a decent amount away from him when he begins to inhale.
While he is inhaling you need to use your bomb spell and shoot it right at his mouth so he swallows it. If done correctly he will begin to gag on the bomb until it eventually explodes and stuns him, as well as unlocks this trophy. Now is your chance to hit him while he is down.
![]() ![]() Set Grandma’s pot on fire |
*Missable Trophy*
This trophy is earned after setting Grandma’s pot on fire.
This is one of the missable trophies in the game, and takes place during the Grandma / Urn Witch boss fight. It is a missable trophy because if you beat her without obtaining this trophy, you will not be able to face her again without starting a new game first. Be sure to obtain this trophy during the boss fight, or you will have to start a new game.
During the boss fight when you begin to damage her enough, she will eventually hop around in her pot and try to crush you. After she does this a few times, she will eventually fall over and begin to roll on the ground while shooting projectiles at you in a circular motion. While she is doing this, you will need to use your fire spell and shoot her directly in the lid of the pot. If done correctly she will catch fire as shown below:
You will know when you do it correctly because you will obviously get the trophy, but she will also jump out of the pot and get stunned which allows you to run up to her and get some more hits on her before she gets up. If you do not get her the first time she begins to spin, just run around and dodge her attacks before she starts doing that move again. Once you get your flame spell to hit the lid of her pot while she is spinning, you will unlock this trophy.
![]() ![]() Upgrade the fire ability |
This trophy is obtained after upgrading the fire ability.
You will unlock the fire ability after completing the Ceramic Manor area, and you can upgrade this ability immediately afterwards if wanted. To upgrade this ability, travel back to the Estate of the Urn which and make your way back towards the Lost Cemetery. In this building you will find the bird cage elevator that you previously rode to get to the estate. Get inside the elevator and once out of it, go down to the exit below and you will make your way to a door with cobwebs on it, as well as two statues with lit up torches:
Use your fire ability to burn the webs and enter into the next room. Here you will fid a door that you can enter the has a mini boss inside. Once you defeat this boss, you will successfully upgrade your fire ability and unlock this trophy.
![]() ![]() Upgrade the bomb ability |
This trophy is unlocked after upgrading the bomb ability.
You will unlock the bomb ability after completing the Mushroom Dungeon area, and you can upgrade this ability immediately afterwards if wanted. To upgrade this ability, you must first travel back to the Lost Cemetery. Once you are back here you will want to head east until you get to the long bridge that has the Overgrown Ruins wooden sign nearby. The door you are looking for is located directly underneath you:
You will need to jump down off the side of the bridge, and use your bomb ability to destroy the door and enter the room with the mini boss:
After you defeat the mini boss in this area, you will automatically upgrade your bomb ability as well as unlock this trophy.
![]() ![]() Upgrade the hookshot ability |
This trophy is unlocked after upgrading the hookshot ability.
You will unlock the hookshot ability after completing the Castle Lockstone area, and you can upgrade this ability immediately afterwards if wanted. To upgrade this ability, you must first travel back to the Lost Cemetery. From here, make your way into the cave that connects you to The Stranded Sailor. Keep making your way through tis area until you get to the area below:
Use your hookshot ability here to travel across so that you can pull the lever to open the nearby gate. Once the gate has been opened you may enter inside and face off against the next mini boss:
After you defeat the mini boss in this area, you will automatically upgrade your hookshot ability as well as unlock this trophy.
![]() ![]() Upgrade the arrow ability |
This trophy is unlocked after upgrading the arrow ability.
You will unlock the arrow ability from the start of the game automatically, but you will not be able to upgrade this ability until you have required all of the other skills. You will need to complete the game up until at least after the Castle Lockstone area so that you have the fire, bomb, and hookshot abilities. Once you have all of the abilities you must first travel back to the Lost Cemetery to get to the area to upgrade the arrow ability.
Once you arrive to the Lost Cemetery, the entrance is located directly to the left of the door you come out of:
Once inside, you will have to use your fire ability to burn the cobwebs off the next doorway:
You will eventually make your way to an area where you will have bunch of spider like enemies and eggs. Make your way through this area and use your fire ability to light the lanterns to eventually open the big door in this room so that you can progress:
You will make your way to several rooms where you must light lanterns like the one above to progress into the next area. You will eventually come to a room where you will use a combination of your hookshot and fire abilities to quickly light 2 fire pits to open the next area:
In the next room you will face off against a bunch of enemies before you can finally proceed onwards to face off against the mini boss:
After defeating this boss, your arrow ability will be upgraded and you will unlock this trophy. It is definitely the lengthiest ability to upgrade.
![]() ![]() Listen to Barb’s magnum opus |
This trophy is unlocked after listening to Barb’s magnum opus.
You can earn this trophy after defeating Betty the Yeti and achieve the 3rd soul. You will first meet and interact with barb when you first arrive to the Castle Lockstone area:
She will follow you from this point, up until practically the very end of the game. After you defeat Betty the Yeti, you can then travel back to The Stranded Sailor area of the game. Go to the main area of the Stranded Sailor and you will see Barb standing outside Jefferson’s place:
Interact with Barb here and she will ask you if you want to hear her new song. Answer “yes” and sit back and enjoy the tune. After she is done singing, this trophy will unlock.
![]() ![]() Gain a devoted fan |
This trophy is earned after gaining a devoted fan.
There are two parts to this trophy. It requires you to first save Grunt from the Mushroom Dungeon, and then visiting him in teh Stranded Sailor. You will likely see him when you first start the Mushroom Dungeon, but he cannot be saved until the dungeon has been completed and you unlock the bomb ability. Once you have the bomb ability unlocked, you can return to the start of the Mushroom Dungeon and save him here:
After you use your ability to save him, be sure to interact with him to progress this trophy. After you are done here, simply go back to the Hall of Doors and travel to the Stranded Sailor. When you arrive in the Stranded Sailor, he will be standing directly to the left of the door:
Once here, all you have to do now is talk to him once more for the trophy to unlock! You now have your biggest fan!
![]() ![]() Max out any of the 4 stats |
This trophy is earned after you have fully maxed out any of the 4 stats.
You can upgrade 4 different stats in this game by talking to Darwin at the counter in the Hall of Doors. You upgrade your stats by spending souls you earn by killing enemies and finding orbs throughout the world. The 4 different stats available to upgrade are:
- Strength
- Dexterity
- Haste
- Magic
All of the skills require the same amount of points to level up. You will need to have a total of 4,300 souls in order to upgrade 1 stat to the maximum level of 5. You should have enough souls to upgrade all of your stats to the max by the time you platinum the game so long as you are regularly defeating enemies and picking up souls / orbs that you find. Luckily you only need to fully max out one of these stats and not all 4.
Once you fully max out a stat and get it to level 5, you will unlock this trophy.
Although you only need to upgrade one skill to the max for the purpose of this trophy, you will need to purchase a total of at least 12 stat upgrades in order to achieve the Big Spender trophy.
![]() ![]() Purchase 12 stat upgrades |
This trophy is earned after you have purchased a total of 12 stat upgrades.
You can upgrade 4 different stats in this game by talking to Darwin at the counter in the Hall of Doors. You upgrade your stats by spending souls you earn by killing enemies and finding orbs throughout the world. The 4 different stats available to upgrade are:
- Strength
- Dexterity
- Haste
- Magic
Since there are 4 skills in the game and each one can be upgraded a total of 5 times, there are a total of 20 possible stat upgrades in the game and you only need to purchase 12 of them. You should have enough souls to upgrade all of your stats to the max by the time you platinum the game so long as you are regularly defeating enemies and picking up souls / orbs that you find.
If you do not think you will have more than enough points by the time you are nearing the platinum, keep in mind that the upgrades get pricier as you level them up. You only need to fully upgrade one stat to level 5 in order to achieve the Specialist trophy, so if you get one skill to level 5, simply upgrade the other skills to 2-3 before fully upgrading another to assure you have enough souls for the purpose of this trophy without having to grind any.
After purchasing your 12th stat upgrade, this trophy will unlock.
![]() ![]() Collect all shiny things |
This trophy is unlocked after collecting all of the shiny things in the game.
Shiny things are objects in the game that as you collect them, will slowly start to clutter the hall of doors main area of the lobby. They dont serve much as a purpose other than a few of them are tied to specific trophies, as well as overall this one and the 100%. There are a total of 24 different shiny things for you to collect in the game, and you will not be able to access all of them until you have beaten the game in full.
After completing the game you will have all of the necessary items and abilities you need to collect everything in the game as well as the shiny things. You can check to see how many shiny things you have and which ones you have collected by going to the pause menu and scrolling over to the Shiny Things tab. Here you can also inspect your items as well as view some information on the items themselves.
After collecting all 24 shiny things in the game, you will unlock this trophy. Below is a detailed video on where you can find all 24 shiny things:

![]() ![]() Collect all weapons |

There are a total of 5 available weapons for you to unlock in the game, and they are:
- Reaper’s Sword
- Thunder Hammer
- Rogue Daggers
- Reaper’s Greatsword
- Discarded Umbrella
You will not be able to collect all 5 weapons until you have gotten all of the abilities in the game. You will also need to collect all of the weapons in order to achieve the 100% in the game. You can see which weapons you have / are missing by viewing your weapons from the pause menu. Here you can see the weapons as well as equip the ones that you have collected. Below is a list of all of their locations and where to achieve them.

![]() ![]() Find all shrines |
This trophy is unlocked after finding all of the shrines in the game.
Shrines are big statues that you are able to pray at in order to receive a shard that upgrades your health and Vitality. There are a total of 16 shrines in the game, and you will need to pray at all of them. You need a total of 4 shards to upgrade either your health or vitality, making it possible to upgrade each of them twice. Below is an image of what the shrines look like:
You can see how many more you need for an upgrade / how many you have from the pause menu. Below is a list of how many shrines are in each location, as well as a detailed video on where to find all 16 of them. - Castle Lockstone – 1

![]() ![]() Take a midnight stroll with Jefferson |
This trophy is unlocked after taking a midnight stroll with Jefferson.
You can only unlock this trophy after you have beaten the game. The reasoning is because you need to get Jefferson to jump onto your back, which he will only do after you bring him his missing teddy bear. After completing the game for the first time, you will need to pick up the key the the Last Lord drops after defeating him. Pick the key up and bring it to the locked gate in the Lost Cemetery that is next to the Death Door:
After opening the gate and climbing to the top of the bell tower, take a swing at the bell to turn your game to nighttime. Once it becomes nighttime, you will now need to travel to the Stranded Sailor to find the lost Teddy Bear. Once you arrive here, head down towards the docks and you will be able to use your hookshot ability to jump across to the other side where you will be greeted by an enemy:
After defeating the enemy you will now be able to climb the nearby ladder and pick up the teddy bear. Now head back to the main area and go inside Jefferson’s shop. Here you will be able to interact with him in the giant bowl in the corner of the room. Interact with him to give him his teddy, and he will hop on your back and unlock this trophy. You now have a new friend.
![]() ![]() All seeds collected and planted |
This trophy is earned after you have collected and planted all the seed in the game.
There are a total of 50 seeds as well as 50 pots located in the game, and they serve as a healing mechanic. Once you plant a seed in a pot, you are able to interact with it to gain health. After using your planted seed, your flower will now die and you will not be able to use it again. Each pot can only hold a single seed. After you collect all 50 of them as well as plant them, you will not only get this trophy, but you will gain access to a room in Pothead’s Secret Garden that has a tablet needed for the A True Ending trophy.
There is no current way to see which pots / seeds you have collected, but there are a few ways that will help know if you are missing any of them. The first way will require you to beat the game as well as turn it to nighttime. Once done you will need to make sure you have the “Rusty Garden Trowel” shiny thing that can be achieved in Pothead’s secret garden. (See Plot Head for more info) Once you have the trowel in your inventory, you can look at it while traveling to different regions. If it is glowing with a blue hue, that means you are missing a seed in the area. Below is what it will look like:
No seeds in the area:
Missing seeds in the area:
Once again, it will only have this feature if you rang the bell and turned it to nighttime. Another cool feature in the game requires you to first beat the game, and will then take place in the Hall of Doors hub. If you look at the Doors now, they will have a red hue around them like so:
This means that you are missing items in that region. Though this can be anything and not just seeds / pots, it is still a nice feature and is ultimately best for when going for the 100%. Another feature this game has to offer requires you to speak to Pothead himself at night in his secret garden. Doing so will give you secret information on where you can still find a pot that needs a seed. After finding the pot he is talking about, you can now go back to him for information on the next pot.
After collecting and planting all 50 seeds in the game, you will unlock this trophy. Below is a video guide for all of their locations:

![]() ![]() Have a gang of 10+ forest spirits follow you |
This trophy is earned after having a gang of 10+ forest spirits follow you.
You can earn this trophy at the very beginning of the game as soon as you leave the hall of the doors and enter the first main area known as “Grove of Spirits”. The spirits are the little green and yellow critters that will follow you around if you do not scare them off. You get them to follow you by simply approaching them. Once they begin to follow you, be careful not to attack in their direction or run too fast as they will wonder off or get scared and run away.
In this small section you will be able to round up 6-8 of them before progressing through the gate and fighting the first mini boss of the game. Once you have a good handful of spirits following you, go ahead and progress onto the boss fight and continue on as normal. After defeating the boss you will trigger a cutscene and be revived by 8 additional spirits who automatically begin to follow you. Once you regain control of your player, simply walk over to the nearby gate where all of your previously gathered spirits are waiting for you as shown below:
Once you bring your newly acquired spirits over to your old ones as shown in the photo above, the trophy will unlock. They serve absolutely no purpose other than to get this trophy so feel free to lose them after obtaining this trophy.
![]() ![]() Access Pothead’s secret garden |
This trophy is earned after accessing Pothead’s secret garden.
This trophy can be earned early on, and servers as a little puzzle/Easter egg in order to achieve the rusty garden trowel “shiny thing”. You will meet the infamous Pothead early on into the game right before reaching the Estate of the Urn Witch. Shorty after meeting him you will need to pull two levers in order to progress into the game. After pulling the two levers you will want to go to the left side of the Estate and you will come to an area with vases lined up on a square board that you can smash. You will need to smash 5 of them in the order shown below in order to open the grave in front of you to gain access to the secret garden:
Once they have all been smashed, the nearby tombstone will open up:
If you mess up or smash them out of order, simply break a few more and they will reset to try again. The trophy will not pop until you pick up the Trowel so don’t be worried. Continue on into the newly opened area and just follow the path until you get to the trowel. Once you pick the trowel up, the trophy will unlock and you can continue. This is also an item needed for the Ooh Shiny trophy.
![]() ![]() 100% Complete the game |
This trophy is unlocked after achieving a 100% completion in the game.
This will likely be the last trophy that you achieve in the game, due to the fact that you have to literally do basically everything except beat the game with only the Umbrella to achieve it. This trophy might as well be a second platinum trophy. You can check your completion percentage at any time from the main menu. Simply select “continue game” and you will see a completion percentage on your save file before clicking it. You will have to get this to (you guessed it) 100% to unlock this trophy.
Below is a complete list of everything you need to do to get a 100% and this trophy, as well as which trophies you can reference in my guide to help ultimately get this one. In order to achieve a 100%, you must complete the following:
- Complete the Game
- Collect all magic abilities (story related)
- Upgrade all magic abilities (view their respective trophies for how to upgrade all 4 of them)
- Collect and plant all 50 seeds (Reference
Reap What you Sow)
- Find and pray at all 16 shrines (Reference
Zen)
- Collect all 24 Shiny Things (Reference
Ooh Shiny!)
- Find all 5 Melee Weapons (Reference
Weapon Master)
- Defeat the Gravedigger (Can be done in the Lost Cemetery after collecting all 24 shiny things)
- Craft the tablet from pieces given by all 3 owls ( Reference
In Caw-Hoots)
- Unlock the True Ending (Reference
A True Ending)
After completing the above list you will achieve a 100% in the game, as well as this trophy. If you haven’t noticed, each and every single requirement for achieving the 100% is tied to another trophy. For those of you who want to sit back and watch a short 6 hour+ video, check out the below video of a COMPLETE 100% / Platinum walkthrough:

![]() ![]() Accept Jefferson’s Soup |
This trophy is earned after you have accepted a bowl of soup from Jefferson.
Jefferson is located in a big building in “The Stranded Sailor” located in the image shown below:
Go inside and you will see Jefferson passed out at the counter:
Simply interact with him and he will ask you if you would like to be treated to a bowl of soup. Answer yes, and he will make the dish for you as well as get you a shiny new trophy. He will also give you some info to a secret area, and tell you how to access it. Feel free to eat as many bowls of soup as you would like, as he will just keep making them for you.
![]() ![]() Get a forest spirit through security |
This trophy is earned after successfully getting a forest spirit through security.
As you progress through the game you will start to see more spirits hanging out around the hall of doors area. They are easy to spot as they are the only things that have a bright color in this entire area. You will start to see them after obtaining the fire ability from completing the Ceramic Manor area. You can earn this trophy at any point after this section.
Head on over to the Hall of Doors once you have progressed enough and approach any of the nearby spirits you may see. Once done, they will begin to follow you and you will have to guide them over to the beginning of this area where you started the game and have them follow you through the security / metal detector type device. Once they walk through the detector you will see a green check mark pop up on the screen as shown below and unlock this trophy.
![]() ![]() Meet with 3 owls |
This trophy is unlocked after meeting with al 3 owls.
This trophy can only be unlocked after completing the game, and turning it to nighttime. Once you have turned it to nighttime, you are ready to start collecting all of the tablet pieces in order to get the true ending of the game as well as unlock A True Ending. Unlike the rest of the tablets, this tablet is split up into 3 separate pieces. Each piece is held onto by a different owl that you must interact with to achieve. After interacting with the owl, you will be able to pick up the piece of tablet they dropped.
Keep in mind that you actually have to pick up all 3 pieces of the tablet to unlock this trophy, and simply talking to the owls will not suffice. After collecting all 3 pieces of the tablet, it will automatically be formed and you will unlock this trophy. Below is the location of where you can find all 3 owls, and how to create this tablet. You do not have to interact with the owls in any specific order.
- Owl Number 1 – This owl is located in the Estate of the Urn Witch. Once you get to this area, run all the way to the end until you are about to enter her manor / go inside. Instead you will want to head down the right path and you will see this owl standing directly on top of the nearby stone bridge. (near to where you got the Rogue Dagger melee weapon)
- Owl Number 2 – This owl is located in the Overgrown Ruins. Continue North in this area and past the settlement. Continue upwards and you will eventually come to this owl sitting in a corner above the settlement and at the top of the ruins region.
- Owl Number 3 – This owl is located in the Old Watchtowers. After coming back to this area, you will want to continue down the same path you did when you were on your way to get to Betty the Yeti. Eventually you will come to the area where you are sliding across the ice and avoiding a laser beam in the middle. Continue on this path and you will eventually make it to the final owl waiting for you at the end of this section.
You will also know you are near the owls because they will start to “hoot” when you are nearby, and it will begin to get louder the closer you get. After speaking to all 3 owls and picking up all 3 pieces to form the tablet, you will unlock this trophy.

This trophy is unlocked after unlocking the true ending of the game.
If you thought beating the Last Lord was the end of your game, then think again. After defeating the final boss, there is a somewhat lengthy Easter Egg series of events that take place in order for you to achieve the true ending. It requires you collecting 7 different tablets and then taking them to the camp of the Free Crows. This trophy can obviously only be obtained after completing the game. It can also only be completed while it is nighttime, this includes getting all 7 tablets and placing them.
After defeating the Last Lord, you must pick it up and bring it to the locked bell tower in the Lost Cemetery located near the Death Door and unlock the gate.
Climb to the top of the Bell tower and hit the bell to turn it to nighttime. Once you have entered nighttime, you are ready to go after all 7 tablets and complete the true ending.
- Tablet 1 – While still in the lost cemetery, you will immediately begin to see red spirits floating around. Do not worry, they are harmless. There will actually be 7 of these spirits, and they are all floating around the Lost Cemetery. You must approach the spirits, and have them follow you to a nearby statues that are large with keyholes in their heads. After getting all 7 spirits to interact with their respective statues, a door will be unlocked and you will be able to achieve your first tablet.
- Tablet 2 – This tablet can be obtained by talking to all 3 owls. This is the only tablet that is split into pieces, let alone 3. Each time you interact with and owl, they will drop a piece to the tablet that you can pick up. After picking up all 3 pieces, the tablet will automatically form into the whole piece. See the
In Caw-Hoots trophy for all 3 locations.
- Tablet 3 – This tablet comes from interacting with a chest located in the Overgrown Ruins. The chest will be located in the southern section of the map, and will be found on a small ledge that you need to use as latter to climb. Once you interact with it, you will need to fight off a few waves of enemies. Once all of the enemies have been defeated, you will unlock the 3rd tablet.
- Tablet 4 – For this tablet, you will need to enter a large door in Potheads Secret garden that is only unlocked by collecting and planting all 50 seeds in the game. Once they have all been collected and planted, this door will automatically unlock and you will be able to enter it and collect the 4th tablet. See
Reap What you Sow for more info.
- Tablet 5 – This tablet requires you to first get the teddy bear shiny thing, and deliver it to Jefferson. (See
A Stroll with Jefferson for more info) Once you have Jefferson attached to your back, you will need to walk with him to the Flooded Fortress. Once you are here you will start to see platforms appear that only appear when you have Jefferson. This trail will lead you to a shrine with a moon symbol on it. Interact with it to get the 5th Tablet.
- Tablet 6 – This tablet is located behind a door in the Old Watchtowers. Here there will be a total of 6 braziers that you need to light on fire with your fire spell. After lighting all 6 of them, you will automatically unlock a large door on the Northern area of the map that you can now enter to collect the tablet.
- Tablet 7 – This tablet can be unlocked after defeating the Gravedigger in the Lost Cemetery, after you have obtained the Mysterious Locket.
Keep in mind that the tablets do not have to be achieved in this order, this is simply just the order I achieved them in. After getting all 7 tablets, you can now take them to the Camp of the Free Crows. Walk up to the alter looking area at the end of this section and all of your tablets will be placed as well as open a secret area you can now enter. You have just achieved the true ending, and unlocked this trophy.

Well 🙂 no threat detected is missable since those little things stop spawning after the final boss.
Specialist is technically not missable but should be listed as such to make people pay attention that the game doesn’t offer orbs enough to max all stats so that people can focus on one stat first then distribute the rest
Yeah, I totally wish I saw this prior to using this guide. Oh well, shouldn’t take long! Guide is great other than this mistake!
Re: No Threat Detected. I’ve got the fire spell, and the bomb spell, and there are two spirits in the Hall Of Doors sitting on desks, near where you spend souls to improve your stats, but they don’t follow you. I’ve watched some videos on how to get the Trophy but they all show a spirit sitting on a bench, it isn’t there in my game. Not sure but I think you need to do it as soon as you get the fire spell and get back to the Hall Of Doors or it’s no longer sitting on the bench.
Just to add to this. As you play more of the game lots of spirits show up in the Hall Of Doors, I was able to get No Threat Detected after getting the Hookshot. Lots of new spirits appeared after that, and I actually had two follow me through security.
