    Forza Motorsport Review

Forza Motorsport is Xbox’s brand-new reboot of the Forza Motorsport franchise. Here is our Forza Motorsport Review.

The game was developed by Turn 10 Studios and published by Xbox Game Studios, it was released on October 10, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S and PC.

There isn’t really a story in Forza Motorsport, but there are different cups you can do that have different courses, weather, car types, and laps. Other than that there isn’t much variety and the weather doesn’t really do much. The driving is where the game really shines but it ends up just being extremely boring, made more boring by having to do the race 2 times, 1 time as “practice” and then the real race. I did find out later you can skip it but there is no way to turn that feature off making is just extremely annoying.

As I said, the driving is really good and is a bit of fun for a few minutes, but it just gets stale so fast, and even when you boot up the difficulty it kinda stays the same with enjoyment. It also doesn’t get better that very early on the races start becoming 5/6 laps. Also, the diver AI’s are a bit of a problem, all of them seem to have a set path that they drive that they dont deviate from and when you try to bump them out, they just dont move.

The game also had some technical issues, it kept freezing in menus every few races and I also had a few crashes when I started skipping the practice rounds. This is not really a problem for me personally because it didn’t affect the gameplay itself in any way. In my honest opinion, you are better off playing Forza Horizon 5 if you have Game Pass or if you want a 2023 game, The Crew Motorfest are 2 options that are just leagues better.

Visually the game closeup looks great, but it does feel like a step down from Forza Horizon 5. But the surroundings look absolutely terrible. The rain seemed impressive for a few seconds at first, but when I started to notice the rain, it felt very fake. All the rain does is add some drops on the screen and at the back of the car it splashes, you dont see actual rain in the sky nor does the track itself show that it’s raining and looks exactly the same as it is when it isn’t raining. This also is a massive step down from Forza Horizon 5 and I feel like they could have better put their resources into making more DLC areas for Forza Horizon 5 or work on a Forza Horizon 6.

    SUMMARY

The game feels like a boring copy of what the other games in the series are with a ton of features removed and visuals that are on the surface good, but when you look past the cars and the stuff closeby its a bit dissapointing
