Do you like cozy games? Then I’m sure you are going to like this game. If you are going to play this game on PC, I recommend playing this game with a controller for the extra cozy vibe. Shut down your mind, lay back in your chair, and enjoy the game and our review! Here is our Garden Witch Life Review.
Garden Witch Life is a casual Farming Sim Magic game. After losing your job, your life took a whimsical turn. You’re now on a quest to create a magical food forest and make it home to all kinds of adorable creatures. The game is developed by: FreetimeStudio and is published by SOEDESCO
You are playing as a little witch who lost her job, and life didn’t go as expected. You are going to start a new life on a tiny island. There is an empty house available for you. But there is a reason why no one is living in that home. You need to clean it and make it yours. Grow a magical garden. Plant seeds and give them water. You don’t want to be alone so make friends, but you need to build up a good reputation with them. Don’t forget to cook delicious new recipes using homegrown ingredients.

Garden Witch is a really clammy and cozy game. I really love the art style because it’s colorful and cute. It feels very well hand-drawn and this makes the game magical and vibrant. The style is playful but also soothing. The music matches this perfectly, with soft, relaxing melodies that keep you in a calm flow. I really love the character customization. It gives the game way more cozy vibes.

The game doesn’t push you. You can choose between exploring or focussing on quests. You can’t get hungry but you can get tired. After a while, you will get teleported back to your house and you will wake up. It’s not hard to learn the game and the mechanics are easy. It’s easy to know what to do for the quest. I like the way of planting seeds and watering your plants. It’s simple in a good way.

The map is not hard to understand, but I don’t like it. Maybe because it’s something new? It doesn’t feel like a real map from a game, but maybe they did that on purpose. I had some difficulties understanding the controls, but after a while, I didn’t have any problems with it. And when you don’t like the button mapping, just remap them.

The cooking mechanics are a plus, it makes the game way more cozy. Again, it’s simple but simple in a good way. And the chopping of ingredients is a funny extra.

Cleaning your house and making it yours feels also very cozy. You can destroy all the garbage and you will get some materials back. When you clear out your house, you need to fill it up with items you like.

This game is really something for you if you like (slow) cozy games. For me, the game was getting a bit tired after a while and I was looking for more quests. People were complaining about a lot of glitches, but I didn’t have them. I only felt once threw the map when falling into a river. I was only missing a function to pin a recipe. If you want to play the game, it’s in sale for 18 euro’s.
