Hotel Architect is a building strategy simulation game. You play as a hotel owner, and while playing, you design and build grand hotels across the globe. Hotel Architect is a hotel construction and tycoon game developed by Swedish developers. It was developed by Pathos Interactive and published by Wired Productions. Here is our Hotel Architect Preview.
Pathos Interactive invited us to check out Hotel Architect at Gamescom. Is it a copy of other games like Two Point Hospital, or is it something new?
I wasn’t really able to play the game because you need more than 30 minutes of game time.
So, it was more of a presentation with an already saved file loaded in. I discovered that this game uses a new feature. You can see every step of building progress. You see people walking in and constructing the things you assigned as tasks. It’s also much easier to identify which room you’ve designated for a gym or a cinema.

There are two different modes: Career and Sandbox Mode. Gain experience in a career campaign mode where you must accomplish a number of tasks to unlock the sandbox mode in each location.
Build from scratch or transform an abandoned property into a profitable venture. Hire construction workers to lay the foundations and build different facilities. I really like the reputation system. If you are doing construction, you will make noise, and your guests will get annoyed by it, leading them to leave worse reviews. Guests will evaluate all aspects of your hotel. The higher the reviews, the more likely you are to attract guests willing to pay more for your services.

Choose from a variety of unique zones that can be set up throughout your establishment. With sandbox-style gameplay, you can then install amenities, place decorations, and select from a wide range of wallpapers and flooring to create your ideal hotel. Expand your hotel empire to several unique locations around the world, each with its own distinct style. Some locations will already have buildings and foundations in place, while others will require construction from the ground up.
I really think this game has some potential. But to be successful, it needs to sell itself a little more. However, they still have plenty of time for that. Personally, I find the game very interesting and hope to add it to my collection next year.
