My Experience at Gamescom
At Gamescom, we were invited by Amazon Games to try out their game King of Meat. I have to say, I really enjoyed this game. I honestly can’t wait for the full release! I got to play it on the last day of Gamescom, which also happened to be the final time slot. And guess what? My team (a few other members of the press) managed to get the highest possible score! I don’t want to brag (okay, maybe a little), but that was obviously thanks to me.
LEGO Skills for the Win
I’m a true LEGO game fanatic. So, smashing everything I see is second nature. That definitely paid off here. In King of Meat, smashing crates and barrels drops crystals that boost your score, so I wasn’t leaving anything untouched!
Not Everyone’s a Pro
Right away, I noticed that one of my teammates wasn’t exactly a “gamer.” He lagged far behind and kept dying. It kind of felt like gaming with my dad. And that’s when I realized: this game can get frustrating if your team isn’t on the same page.
He went down so often, we were constantly reviving him. And don’t forget, this game has parkour sections. So when your teammate goes down right where flames are blasting, it’s super frustrating if you can’t get them back up.
But hey, I had to keep my cool, shouting and swearing probably isn’t the best look when you’re playing at Amazon! So, like a true knight, I kept jumping back to save him.
In the end? We were the real kings!
What Is King of Meat?
King of Meat is a colorful, chaotic co-op combat game where you and your friends take on wild dungeons, whether you build them or battle through them. Outsmart deadly traps, fight ridiculous monsters like trolls and skeletons, and show off with over-the-top customizations.
Set in the crazy game show world of Loregok, you’ll team up with sponsors to unlock weapons, outfits, and crazy dungeon props.
Compete or create. Or just look fabulous. But remember, it’s all fun and games until someone loses an arm.
