I’ve had such a great time with this game (and I still do). I don’t usually praise a game easily, but Warhorse has done an amazing job. The game is incredibly well put together and is truly a work of art to look at. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the sequel to the highly praised game. Here is our Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Review.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a thrilling, story-driven action RPG with a rich open world set in 15th century Medieval Europe. You experience the ultimate medieval adventure through the eyes of young Henry as you embark on a journey of epic proportions. The game is published by Deep Silver and developed by Warhorse Studios.
The story starts with Henry, the blacksmith’s son, who finds himself in the midst of a civil war. Henry must travel with Hans Capon to Trosky to deliver an important message to Otto von Bergow. What begins as a simple mission quickly turns into a complex web of battles and personal growth. Each location breathes history and contributes to the game’s authentic atmosphere. The comedy is really great, and I sometimes caught myself laughing out loud a little too hard.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is both comprehensive and detailed. The combat system is refined, offering a realistic approach to medieval battles. Players must consider the direction of their attacks, timing, and weapon choices. You can also start blacksmithing and try your hand at alchemy, which allows you to create your own equipment and potions.
What I really like about Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is that you don’t need to rush the game. It’s really enjoyable to explore the whole map, and you never get bored. Sit back and savor the game — it’s like watching a movie. But you must remember that every action has consequences, even the words you choose. Warhorse did an amazing job with this game. It’s astonishing how good it is, and the historical research and details are exceptional. The game offers an in-depth, immersive experience that is both challenging and rewarding.

You don’t have to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance before jumping into the sequel, as dreams in the game explain key events from the first. However, I strongly suggest playing KCD1 first, as the story is deeply connected. The game is challenging, but don’t give up — it’s a real gift. Be sure to check out some tips and tricks online; I personally learned a lot from TikTok, where the algorithm pushes helpful videos without spoiling the story.
Graphics and Sound
The game is visually stunning. The attention to detail in both the environments and the characters is remarkable. Every scene, from the green forests to the bustling markets, is crafted with great care. The music enhances the experience, perfectly matching the atmosphere of the game. The clashing of swords, the chirping of crickets in the evening, and the murmur of a crowded tavern all come together to create a lively and authentic gaming experience.

NPCs
I really love the NPCs in this game. The characters are developed incredibly well, and they contribute to a dynamic game world. They feel alive, with their own distinct personalities. NPCs react to the player’s actions and decisions — for example, they’ll pick up dropped items and exclaim, “This is mine now!” In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the dialogues are deep, offering multiple options that make you think carefully about your choices.
Healing and Saving
Healing is always a challenge in this game. If you’re bleeding, you need to use a bandage. There are multiple ways to heal yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, such as sleeping in your own bed. Don’t have access to your own bed? Then heal with a potion like “Chamomile Brew” or “Marigold Decoction”. You can brew, buy, or find these potions yourself. Saving in this game is different from other games; you can’t just use the ‘quick save’ option. This makes the game more challenging and forces you to think carefully about your actions. It’s easy to die during an expedition and lose an hour of progress, but fortunately, the game saves at key moments or after important choices. You can save by drinking a “Saviour Schnapps” potion or by sleeping in your own bed.

Combat
The combat mechanics aren’t the easiest; you need time to get used to them. After a few hours of playing, I still struggled with combat, but that might just be me. For example, I had a lot of trouble with the Combat Training 1 mission. But I saw that I wasn’t the only one with this problem. Under various YouTube videos, I saw people complaining. Some even thought the mission was bugged. This doesn’t make the game bad if anything, it encourages you to keep coming back and trying again. But maybe the game could have explained this a bit more clearly.
Final Thoughts
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an outstanding and immersive RPG that blends historical accuracy with compelling gameplay. The attention to detail in both world-building and character development is exceptional, making it a truly captivating experience. The game’s realistic combat system, deep dialogues, and interactive NPCs all contribute to a world that feels alive and reactive. Whether you’re exploring vast landscapes, engaging in intense battles, or crafting your own potions and equipment, every moment is rich with purpose and challenge. While the game may not be for everyone due to its difficulty and slower pace, those who appreciate a deep, story-driven adventure will find Kingdom Come: Deliverance II a rewarding and unforgettable journey. If you haven’t played the first game, it’s highly recommended to experience it, as the story builds upon its predecessor. Warhorse Studios has once again delivered a game that is both an artistic and gaming triumph.
