Introduction:
Welcome back true believers, a new threat rises in Manhattan. With enemies unlike Spider-Man has faced before how will our hero fend off the assaults and prevent the citizens of New York falling victim? Game Developed by Insomniac Games. Welcome to our Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Trophy Guide!
Roadmap:
Step 1: Web-heads Unite
For this stage of the game, you will want to complete the game by learning the fantastic story outlined by Insomniac Games. As with Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 incorporates everything from the previous stories and merges a dual protagonist system into the game, meaning you will play as both Miles and Pete.
There is no trophy for playing on a specific difficulty which means you can play on one of the 4 difficulties within the game, which are:
- Friendly Neighbourhood (Very Easy)
- Friendly (Easy)
- Amazing (Normal)
- Spectacular (Hard)
You can play on any difficulty, however, playing on Friendly Neighbourhood difficulty will significantly lower the time it will take to Platinum the game as you will have a safety net of not being able to die in combat.
You’ll be earning these trophies:
Another Way
I Quit
You’re Gonna Need Help
Antidote
A New Suit
Leave Us Alone
The Great Hunt
Medicine
Heal The World
Step 2: With Great Power, Come Great Responsible
This stage sees you cleaning up everything that you will have missed along the way, so all upgrades, collectables and any specific takedowns will be attempted here. This is where around 10 or so hours will be taken up, give or take. The only reason is to clear the remaining Fog Of War and locate all the untrackable collectables like the Spider-Drones.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies:

NOTE: |
This guide Has Spoilers! Although the intent to avoid them has been made there are some |
The game crashed frequently for the author. This was using a Disk but Digital might be more stable, it is something to be aware of. |
If you have Arachnophobia this possibly isn’t the best game you could pick, you know the character’s name is Spider-Man after all. |

General Tips:
- Spidey can not only swim, but he can “Surf” along the surface of the water to some degree.
- Mission 25 of the campaign will turn Manhattan into a more or less warzone, be ready for everyone out for Both Spider-Men
- You can Scan the world around Spider-Man using the R3 Button.
- You can use the Accessibility options to Autocomplete the QTE’s If you are having trouble.
- You can use the Simplify Puzzles Option to make the puzzles easier to complete.
- There are two Graphics Modes. A Fidelity and A Performance. The option is up to you which to use, by default, it is set to Fidelity.
- There is a Previously On… which will recap the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales.
- The Home Screen will alter each time you visit it.
- After the mission Finally Free you will be at the PONR, make sure you are ready for what is to come, and to end the game.
- Focus can be used to either perform a Finisher or Heal.
- You can buy skills for an individual Spider-Man or for Both. It is recommended to get all the Skills that relate to both Spider-Men before you look at getting Indervidual Skills, this way you will not be underpowered with one of them.
- Damage will not just affect the Health Bar, but have a visual effect on the condition of the Suit.
- To change character you can use the FNSM App and press Square, this will not always be available, however.
- Spider-Sense has two states, normal Dodge and Perfect Dodge. Try to aim for Perfect Dodge as you will be granted a breather between attacks.
- There is now a Parry Button, which is activated using L1. Like Dodging it has two states, a normal Parry which will reduce the damage you take and a Perfect Parry, which will stagger enemies and let you push the counter.
- The FNSM App is a powerful tool for Spider-Man to help the people of New York, try to remember to use it.
- Districts have been revamped, within Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 you will want to complete little events as you go by them on your way around the city. This will minimise the grind once you have completed the story.
- Within a District, you will have 3 rewards, the first and third are Tokens, whereas the Second is the ability to Fast Travel to the District. Try and prioritise this when you can.
- Wind Tunnels are powerful navigational tools, want to get across a large distance fast Web-Wing your way through a Tunnel.
- Crimes and other activities have Bonus Objectives, which you needed to complete in the other two Spider-Man games, in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 you do not. They do give you some more XP however it’s a personal preference.
- Heavy Attacks are kind of bad news, if you miss Parrying them you will sustain a nasty piece of damage.
- Abilities can be interchanged, like Miles’s Venom Punch, changing out for Chain Lightning
- The Super Slingshot is a fast way to get vast distances, however, they can easily be missed.
- There are things linked to Each character, for example, Miles has the Prowler Cache and Pete has the EMF Projects. Likewise, there are Side Missions that each character can undertake
- The All Seeing Ability in the Traversal Suit Tech will reveal all the Tech Crates on the Minimap, making them far easier to find rather than a small glow as you are going around the city.
- The Web-Line tool will let you create a line to walk along and take down enemies, you can also connect multiple Web-Lines forming a Spider-Web above enemies for a Stealthy approach.
- The Black Suit is a dangerous tool, not only is it the Symbiot that grows into the entity known as Venom, but it also gives you devastating power.
- There are a total of 74 Skill Points that you can obtain by reaching Level 60. Where Skills are useful, and the fact that the game divides the skills between either individual or shared abilities, there is no trophy related to obtaining skills.
Trophy Guide:
![]() | Dedicated ![]() Collect all Trophies |
Excelsior True Believes, New York is safe and you have earned a shiny platinum trophy to show off to any would-be villain.
![]() | Superior ![]() 100% complete all districts |
This trophy, Like Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, requires you to obtain 100% in all 14 districts within the game, the districts are as follows:
- Harlem
- Upper Weast Side
- Central Park
- Upper East Side
- Hell’s Kitchen
- Midtown
- Greenwich
- Chinatown
- Financial District
- Astoria
- Downtown Queens
- Little Odessa
- Williamsburg
- Downtown Brooklyn

Within all these Districts are things to do, which vary depending on the district. Like the other games, Central Park has the least amount of things to do. Where that doesn’t help for this trophy as you need all districts, you should start there, as it’s also on par with being the smallest and easiest to find everything. If you use this method of hunting through areas, even though it is an easy theory, it will take a lot of time, so it is recommended to head up to Halem and then down the Districts you know from the other games. Once they are done head for the new ones, below is a chart of all the items you can find in the areas.

That covers the “Markable” things which can be tracked easily (Note the Spider-Bots have been added as they are Trackable on the collection of the area), however, there are things that are harder to find Tech Stashes and, although not needed, Crimes. While we debated building a map per district we, the author, thought this was going to confuse the matter more than just pointing out what you needed to find.
Blue Tech Stash (Not needed for Trophies) | ![]() |
Gold Tech Stash (Not needed for Trophies) | ![]() |
Crime-in-Progress (Not needed for Trophies) | ![]() |
Spider-Bots in the World (Need to visually locate them or use the Ability) | ![]() |
As the Table above shows there are distinctive traits that will highlight an area for what you are looking for, Spider-Bots, for example, will have a sphere of influence emanating from it, whereas Tech Stashes are more troublesome to locate, thankfully you can find them easily by equipping the All Seeing Ability found in the Traversal Suit Tech, which will reveal all localised crates on the Minimap. In order to obtain 100% in a District you need to complete all the items on the list that are outlined to be in the area, which will fill the bar at the top of the side panel, see below.

It should be noted that you do not need untracked things like the final mission in some questlines and the thousands of random Blue and Gold chests around the city.

![]() | Behind the Masks ![]() Complete “Grand Finale” |
This trophy is actually started from the mission Master Illusionist and will take you around the city finding and participating in challenges. You don’t have to have the best score just beat the challenge for it to count, there are 9 in total with a tenth one that will appear once the 9 marked ones have been completed. The tenth is in the amusement park in Downtown Brooklyn, see the image below.

All you need to do in this mission is battle Mysterio in a world of illusions. The fight isn’t all that tough, he tends to stay in the air the entire fight so treat him like one of the Hunters Hawks or aerial combat with ground units and you should be fine. Part way through he will change the environment so that Gravity is inverted but it’s just a chase. Once you beat him watch the cut scene and complete this mission line.
![]() | Amazing ![]() Reach max level |
The max Level is 60, progress carries between both characters so you don’t need to worry about separated leveling. To Level up all you need to do is play the game, collect collectables, participate in fights, or complete missions the choice is yours. Although it will take some time to obtain level 60 there are more than enough things to do in order to reach it.
![]() | Data Collector ![]() Complete “Target Identified” |
For this trophy, you will need to hunt down all of the Unidentified Targets, collect the data and compile it to find out who the Hunters are after. Once you have completed the last one you will have a mission to go to the building near Oscorp in Midtown, which will direct you to an apartment where Hunters are already deployed. You will need to dispatch the Hunters and investigate the apartment before the mission chain is completed and the trophy unlocks. Please refer to Superior for more information.
![]() | Crimson Hour ![]() Complete “It Was Meant for Me” |
This trophy is for completing Pete’s mission line for the arsonists that you might have seen appearing around in street crimes. There are 4 missions in total, below are what the mission is and where it is.
Mission | Where |
Where Have You Been? | Financial District |
Everything Burns | Chinatown |
I Knew You Had It in You | Astoria |
It Was Meant For Me | Little Odessa |
![]() | Exterminator ![]() Complete all Symbiote Nests |
These will become available once you have completed the mission Trouble With Harry, which is automatically started on completion of Don’t Be Scared. Within this mission, you will be introduced to the final enemy faction, which as this trophy highlights is the Symbiotes. Any Spider-Man fan will know that this is Venom’s doing so we won’t sugar coat it, the Symbiote enemies are actually pretty bad to fight and there are a few different variants, which are highlighted below.

There are 10 across the city that you will need to clear out. In order to clear them out, all you will need to do is the same as you did in the mission, which is to defend a core armed with Sonic Burst charges for a set time. If you play this in Friendly Neighbourhood difficulty then you will not need to worry if the charge drops to 0% life, as the difficulty won’t let you die in combat. This is only a theory of the author, however, when this happened in a Hive the game continued.

![]() | Grains of Sand ![]() Piece together broken memories |
These are available once you complete the very first mission of the game and have taken down Sandman. During the clean up you will be playing as Miles and encounter a strange crystal which has sand all around it, If you were paying attention in the Sandman fight you would note that these crystals are part of Sandman. Fight off the enemies and interact with the crystal which will reveal a memory fragment, from this point on you will be able to find them around the city. They are not hard to find there is normally a big sand cloud around them so you should be able to see them from a distance, once you get close you will be able to ping it on your map for later or to complete it then.

There are a total of 14, all you need to do is find them and complete the little battle event. Once the 13th is collected a final one will appear on the beach in Downtown Brooklyn. Once there, interact with the crystal to be pulled inside Sandman’s head, there you will need to break a massive crystal in order to get the final memory fragment. When you return to the city you will have MJ call telling you an address Sandman keeps repeating in Astoria, head there to finish the mission line and earn the trophy.
![]() | Leave Us Alone ![]() Complete “Don’t Be Scared” |
STORY
This is for completing the mission Don’t Be Scared, once you have completed this mission you will start the endgame.
![]() | The Great Hunt ![]() Complete “Anything Can Be Broken” |
STORY
This is awarded for completing the mission Anything Can Be Broken, within the mission you will have 2 prominent boss fights. For spoiler reasons, they will not be listed but you will want to be prepared, they are tough boss fights and they have multiple stages.
![]() | Seek and Destroy ![]() Complete all Hunter Bases |
These become available once you have completed the main mission Bad Guys On The Block. In order to access a base you will need to first clear the blinds, Harlem is the first you get access to. In each case, there are 3 blinds which you need to deal with in order to triangulate the base. Once all 3 Blinds are dealt with the base becomes available, simply clear it out and move on to the next. There are a total of 11 Blinds and 4 Hunter Bases to complete, you do not need to complete the optional constraints for the trophy. Completing them all will also earn the Last Hunt Suit for Pete and the Most Dangerous Game Suit for Miles.
![]() | Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man ![]() Complete all FNSM requests |
There are a total of 6 of these missions to compete around the city, you can find the names, and where they are located below. All of them are straightforward missions so knowing what counts for this trophy is all that’s necessary.
Mission | Location |
Photo Help (Pete) | Midtown |
Find Grandpa | Downtown Brooklyn |
Rooftop Fireworks | Williamsburg |
Howard | Financial District |
Graffiti Trouble | Little Odessa |
Monster in Queens | Astoria |
![]() | Medicine ![]() Complete “It Chose You” |
STORY
This trophy is related to the mission It Chose You. Upon completing the mission the trophy will unlock and learn a dangerous secret about what Oscorp had locked away.
![]() | Surge ![]() Use Symbiote Abilities 25 times during Symbiote Surge |
Symbiote Abilities are only available for Pete and only once you have unlocked the Black Suit (later with the Anti-Venom Suit) which is related to the A New Suit. Once you have that trophy you can work on this trophy by building up your Surge and activating it with the L3 + R3 Joysticks clicked in. Now in the Surge, you will need to activate any of the Mapped L1 + combos of attacks. Although this should come through the natural progression of the story it is worth noting that you might need to work on it in post-game. Below are the recommended Moves for this.

![]() | Foundational ![]() Complete all EMF Experiments |
Once you complete Healing The World, you will gain access to the EMF projects. These are basically the Oscorp research centres from the first game. All you need to do is complete them all, there are 9 in total, and 8 of them are actual projects to do whereas the 9th mission is just accepting the gift and technically completing a legacy. You will also get the Life Suit for completing all 9 missions.
![]() | Evolved ![]() Defeat 100 enemies with Evolved Venom abilities |
This trophy is for Miles’s Venom powers once they have evolved after completing the mission Not On My Watch. All you need to do is defeat enemies using the evolved power, the ones recommended for this are;
- Chain Lighting
- Thunder Blast
- Reverse Flux
- Galvanise
It is recommended to do this on the agile Symbiotes, they are green in colour, as they go down in a single hit meaning they are perfect for this but it is a personal preference.
![]() | Armed and Dangerous ![]() Defeat 100 enemies with Spider Arm abilities |
This trophy is easy but will take some time and you can not perform these actions if you have the Symbiote Suits powers active (Black Suit). In order to do this you will need to Hold L1 and press Square when you have the ability active. You can just dodge enemies until you build it up if you want to make the most out of a battle situation. However, this is a little counterproductive.

It is recommended to do this on the agile Symbiotes, they are green in colour, as they go down in a single hit meaning they are perfect for this but it is a personal preference.
![]() | Another Way ![]() Complete “No Escape” |
STORY
This trophy is for completing the mission No Escape which leads on from I’m The Hero Here. Within this mission, you will learn the Venom Reflux ability and deal with Miles’s inner demons.

![]() | Brooklyn Pride ![]() Complete “A Gift” |
For this trophy, you will need to be playing as Miles. After the main mission Amends you will need to change to Pete to continue the story. Instead, head over to Williamsburg after accepting the BV Club Fair in the FNSM App. Upon completing that there will be 3 more, you can access them through the app or mark them and head over to them. These missions are:
- Senior Prank
- Homecoming
- Light, Camera, Action
Once they are completed you will get another mission called A Gift, which is the same as the FNSM App missions from Miles Morales. Head to the marked location and claim your new suit for Miles, the Boricua Suit.
![]() | My Community ![]() Complete “Hard Bop” |
This is a mission specific to Miles. Miles’s Mother will want to see him and give him the job to help at the museum, which has a “Malfunctioning” security system. Upon investigating Miles stumbles onto a theft and will only recover a truck of stolen goods, later a mission will be posted in the FNSM App for locating more of the stolen instruments. The missions that you need to complete for this trophy are
- Funky
- Bebop
- Hard Bop
Upon catching the mastermind you will play as Miles to investigate the museum, when you are done head to Rio Morales to conclude the mission chain and gain the trophy as well as the City Sounds Suit.
![]() | I Quit ![]() Complete “This Isn’t You” |
STORY
This is for the mission This Isn’t You, which is mostly a boss fight.
![]() | Funky Wireless Protocols ![]() Solve the mystery of the Spider-Bots’ Origin |
For this trophy, you will first need to collect all 42 of the Spider-Bots. They are going to be semi-difficult to find as they are not marked on your map and are only shown by a sphere pulsing, image below.

There is also a bright purple glow from them so you can see them from a reasonable distance if you miss the pulsing, there is a reference below.

Upon collecting all 42 of these pesky robots you will get a mission pointing you to the Financial District. Head there and watch the little cut scene, when it’s over the trophy is yours.
![]() | Stylish ![]() Equip a suit style |
This trophy can be done from when you learn about styles, all you need to do is change the look of any outfit that supports styles. For the purpose of the trophy, it’s best to do it on Pete’s Advanced Suit 2 as you are forced to buy the styles for it. Simply change the style to something else and head back to gameplay, the trophy should unlock before you exit the menu.

![]() | Slack Line ![]() Stealth takedown 25 enemies in stealth from the Web Line |
During the mission Bad Guys On The Block you will unlock the Web-Line tool which will be critical for this trophy. In order to do this you will need to aim at a point using L2 and fire an anchor point using the Triangle button. From here you will have a sturdy line which can be used similar to the Batman Arkham series Line Launcher. All you need to do now is walk along and take down the enemies. You can even have multiple lines branching off so you can literally make a spiderweb above your enemies.

Taking down 25 like this is a small task, if you like the stealthy approach you will use this, so much it will become second nature.
![]() | Hang Ten ![]() Perform 30 Air Tricks in a row without touching the ground |
This can be done with either Pete or Miles when swinging across the city. All you need to do is hold the Square button and move the Left Joystick in any direction to perform a full trick. If you get too close to the ground you might end up getting Splat rather than swinging away to continue your combo. All you need to do is perform any of the tricks while swinging across the city and not touch the ground.
![]() | Overdive ![]() As Miles, use Reverse Flux to pull 6 or more enemies together simultaneously |
For this trophy, all you need to do is use the L1 button and the Circle button when the ability is charged. For the trophy, you will need to have 6 enemies around you but that’s easy enough in a Symbiot hive.
![]() | Home Run! ![]() Round the bases at the Big Apple Batters Stadium |
This is for the stadium which is located in the bottom of the Downtown Brooklyn area. In order to get the trophy all you need to do is complete a “homerun”. There are three in total, once you have, head back to home, and the trophy is yours. There are some images below.

![]() | Just Let Go ![]() As Miles, find the science trophy Miles and Phin won together |
This trophy is for returning to Trinity Church located in the Financial District. Returning here as Pete will do nothing. Below are some images to help.

![]() | You Know What to Do ![]() As Peter, visit Aunt May’s grave |
This is achieved when you are free-roaming and all you need to do is head to the top of Harlem. ![]() | Soar ![]() Using only your Web Wings, glide from the Financial District to Astoria (Wind Tunnels are okay!) |
This trophy sounds difficult but it really isn’t that bad, all you have to do is glide from one end of the map to the other, over the Hudson River. The bright side is you can start wherever you would like in the Financial District. There is a video below to help.
The Trick is to utilise the Wind Tunnels, there is an image below. There are plenty of these around the city so getting from one end of the map to the other only gliding isn’t too bad.

![]() | Splat ![]() Attempt and fail a trick before “landing” on the ground |
Simply fail a trick by hitting the ground mid-trick, it’s likely you will obtain this without trying.
![]() | A New Adventure ![]() Help Howard |
Like the other Marvel’s Spider-Man games, you will have to help Howard, unfortunately, if you were hoping for a high-speed chase through the city you would be out of luck. For this mission you will need to meet him in the Financial District and play a little spying game with him, looking for the things he points out, afterwards, he will ask you to take his birds somewhere they can be free and safe. The idea is just to wait for Miles to come up with an area north to take them, once you get there you will let them go free and head back to Howard to complete the mission.
