Ed Boon (co-creator of the Mortal Kombat series) announced on Twitter that “if all goes well“, we should know next week who the next fighters that step into MK11’s ring are. NetherRealm Studios have already announced Shang Tsung as a future DLC character a few weeks ago.
So far, MK11 does not have any DLC characters available aside from Shao Khan. This well-known MK villain is currently only available if you have pre-ordered a copy of the game. It will likely be available for players without a pre-ordered copy in a future update, but the cost and release date have not been revealed yet.
