PlayStation Plus Premium Exclusive Trials You Should Try

With the increase in the PS+ benefits comes an interesting feature for subscribers, which is the PlayStation Plus Premium Exclusive Trials. While most are games that you would pick up like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we feel it necessary to draw some attention to this section of the Service as it has some pretty good titles included which you can try, effectively for free. Although the length of time you can play can vary depending on the title that you pick, each of them are the full game and we are confident that some gamers would be able to make more than the most out of the time given.

So you might be sat there reading this thinking “Ohh, A Game Trial, Why should I Bother?” Well, there are a few reasons that you should want to bother, and first and foremost that Progress Transfers to the Full Title. Yes, you read it right, any progress you make in the time you have on the trial will transfer over to the full game should you choose to buy it. This means that no matter how far you get in the trial you won’t start back at Square ONE, which is impossibly important to most gamers. Second, You can earn Trophies. Not only are you given the full game on a timer but you can earn trophies to show off to your friends, this alone should be incentive enough for a lot of gamers.

    Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

PlayStation Plus Premium Exclusive Trials You Should Try - Spiderman 2

This goes without saying but Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was going to be at the top of our list, I mean have you seen the game, it’s such an improvement on the original and Miles Morales. Explore not just Manhattan Island but Queens as well in the anticipated Sequal to the 2018 Superhero game that helps redefine the genre.

Play as both Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as they battle to save New York from a combination of threats including Venom and Kraven The Hunter. Letting you play for only 2 hours, which is more than enough time to sink your webs into the full game that is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

    Alan Wake 2

Coming in a very close second place on our list is the Phycological Horror Adventure about an Author trapped inside his own story, held prisoner by an ancient darkness trying to break free, it’s Alan Wake 2.

Telling 2 parallel stories for both protagonists, Alan Wake and Saga Anderson, slip out of reality and fall into a story created and coming true once again. If you have played the original Alan Wake you will love this, it takes all the aspects of the original, utilises Ray Tracing and other new technology and makes a “truer” Third-Person Shooter, that we find hard to hate. Letting you play for a measly 2.5 hours, its hard not to want more from the game.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Who doesn’t like a LEGO game? While LEGO Star Wars is always good, this selection is for all 9 of the feature-length films in LEGO format. This means that you can play right through from The Phantom Menace all the way the The Rise Of Skywalker.

Although we have selected this for one to try we recommend only picking the part of the game that you would really most like to try out because of the short time limit on the Trial. We would like to point you towards the Sequal Trilogy where you will see The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise Of Skywalker. The reason for this is the latter 2 films are not standalone LEGO Games unlike the Original Trilogy, Prequal Trilogy and The Force Awakens which can all be played outside of The Skywalker Saga. To experience the final 2 chapters in the (to Date) Skywalker events, you will need to play this, which is why we recommend them as the experience for the Trial, the downside of this is you will need to make it through The Force Awakens before you can play the others. Letting you play for only an Hour, which is really short in comparison with what you get with the game, it’s still enough to sink your Lightsaber into.

    Train Sim World 4

Hop aboard Engineers, and prepare for a highspeed journey across the rails. The edition that you are able to play is the UK Edition. Whether this is different for different countries is unknown, as the editions of the game are UK, USA, Austria, and Germany.

Granting you access to a lot of the features of the game, however, as with Dovetail Games and its Assossiated Development Teams almost 90% of the game is locked behind DLC content. The content does let you control the LNER Azuma Class of Train which runs on the East Coast Main Line. Letting you play for a rather small, 2 hours this is probably one of the most expansive Trials you could try.

    Evil West

An age of Gunslingers and Outlaws, but with a twist? The untamed world of the Wild West once beckoned to souls seeking fortune, Evil West takes that and flips it to be a supernatural adventure where vampires, Ghouls, and werewolves stalk the land, a regular Van Helsing tale.

Playing through a story where the forces of good strive to overthrow the darkness and save the people, you play as the son of the founder of the order you are a part of. Going from rather simple beginnings all the way to eventually taking over the institution as the new chief, the game is full of twists and turns. Letting you play for 2 hours, honestly, we picked this for the reason that back in January, it was given for free to PS Plus Extra Subscribers. If you happened to miss that prime opportunity this is a perfect time to try out this interesting game.
