As you may have read in our preview, we already had the chance to check out this game at Gamescom. Back then, we couldn’t wait to get our hands on Potion Shop Simulator ourselves. And now the time has finally come, here’s our full Potion Shop Simulator Review!
The Premise
The goal of Potion Shop Simulator is to blend potion brewing with shop management in an engaging and enjoyable way. The game is published by Pebbles Games and developed by Pebbles Games together with Bird Pals SIA.
This is the perfect title for fans of simulation games, offering a unique mix of alchemy and running your own shop. After graduating from Wizard University, you find yourself on the outskirts of the kingdom, in a little store you proudly call your own. Using the four classical elements (Fire, Water, Air and Earth), you can craft potions in countless combinations for your diverse and often quirky customers.

Getting Started
You’ll start your adventure with a clear and accessible tutorial. A small, adorable dragon guides you through the basics and even gives you a tour of the town. Right away, you’ll feel at home thanks to the cozy sounds coming from the nearby café and the soothing background music. The overall atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Co-op Mode
A fun feature: you can play Potion Shop Simulator in co-op mode. Divide the tasks and build a thriving potion shop as a team! Unfortunately, we weren’t able to test this feature ourselves for this review.

Gameplay Mechanics
Cleaning and Setup
Before you start brewing, you’ll first need to clean up the shop. The previous owner left it in quite a state! Once you’ve tidied up, it’s time to get to work crafting potions.
Potion Crafting and Negotiation
You sell your potions at standard prices, but for customers looking for something extra, you can negotiate. Negotiation works through a fun mini-game where you might earn a higher profit or end up selling for less if things don’t go your way. Keeping customers happy boosts your reputation, and satisfied customers are more likely to return.

Herb Gathering and Processing
In addition to brewing potions, you can dry and grind herbs. But be careful not to accidentally drop them in the barrel, that’s actually your trash can!
Pro tip: always bring your basket when gathering herbs. Without it, you can only carry one plant at a time.
Upgrades and Customization
You can expand your shop by adding features like a greenhouse or decorate it to make it more appealing to customers. Plus, you can upgrade your tools; for example:
- Upgrading your mortar gives you more powder when grinding herbs.
- Improving your cauldron allows you to add more ingredients and brew stronger potions.

Conclusion
Potion Shop Simulator is a must-play for anyone who loves alchemy, shop management, and simulation games. With its beautiful visuals, intuitive gameplay, and the option to play co-op, it has everything it takes to become a fan favorite.
I really enjoyed the game, though I did find myself missing a bit of excitement. Running the store offers a nice challenge, but after a while, I started to feel a little bored. The game could use a stronger sense of suspense or a more compelling storyline to keep things interesting in the long run.
