    Tips and Strategies:

    Controls:

Because the game is from the PSP and natively, they do not have Triggers the game will not let you utilise them, likewise the camera will not be able to move independently of the character since the PSP only had a single analogue stick, unlike a gamepad.

    Control Configuration:

    Standard Controls
    Alternative Controls

    Steering Controls:

    Helicopter Controls:

    Inverted Controls

    TIPS:

    • Capturing a Vehicle is normally a good idea
    • Utilise the Recovery Ability by standing still when on foot
    • Don’t worry so much about your scoring, for the trophies that require a score please refer to them.
    • Slow and Steady is a good tactic, just don’t try being the Hero!
    • Know your limits!
    • Abuse the rewind function to get a better run
    • If you can’t complete a mission try replaying an earlier mission to practice your strategy, Bus to the Border is one that might need a few attempts as the time constraint is difficult to beat with attacking the boss.
    • The Cheats disable saving and Trophies. DO NOT use them, for this reason, they have not been included in the guide.

The Pursuit might be over, but threats on the streets always need to be taken out. Get out there and embody Justice… with a shiny Platinum Trophy!

    Hold the Cannoli
End the threat of the Capelli Family gang.

    STORY

The first faction in the game can be started from Officer Rank and completed once you make it to Lieutenant Rank. The six missions are:

    • Rat Race – Officer Rank
    • Cold Contract – Officer Rank
    • Line Of Fire – Sergeant Rank
    • Witness Protection – Sergeant Rank
    • Legal Eagle – Lieutenant Rank
    • Don the Run – Lieutenant Rank

Out of all the missions in the Capelli family, the hardest can be Line Of Fire. It isn’t all that bad just troublesome if you can’t close the distance. Below are videos to help you with each mission:

    Rat Race

    Cold Contact

    Line of Fire

    Witness Protection

    Legal Eagle

    Don the Run

Lived Long Enough to Become the Villain
End the threat of the Warlords gang.

    STORY

The second faction in the game can be started from Officer Rank and completed once you make it to Captain Rank. The six missions are:

    • Toxic Convoy – Officer Rank
    • Hardware Hijack – Sergeant Rank
    • Atomic Ambush – Sergeant Rank
    • Velocity – Lieutenant Rank
    • Day of the Dam – Lieutenant Rank
    • General’s Revenge – Captain Rank

The hardest mission in the Warlord’s set is easily Velocity, however, General’s Revenge is somewhat tedious to complete, not in the same way as Velocity but close. Below are videos to help you with each mission:

    Toxic Convoy

    Hardware Hijack

    Atomic Ambush

    Velocity

    Day of the Dam

    General’s Revenge

    Freedom Squandered
End the threat of the Convicts gang.

    STORY

The third faction in the game can be started from Sergent Rank and completed once you make it to Captain Rank. The six missions are:

    • Ski Run Rampage – Sergeant Rank
    • Rapid Reaction – Sergeant Rank
    • Wilde’s Boys – Lieutenant Rank
    • The Forger – Lieutenant Rank
    • A Snitch in Time – Captain Rank
    • Bus to the Border – Captain Rank

Out of all the Convict missions the hardest one is Bus to the Border, as the time constraints and the limited opportunities to open fire on Hard Balls make this a challenge. Below are videos to help you with each mission:

    Ski Run Rampage

    Rapid Reaction

    Wilde’s Boys

    The Forger

    A Snitch in Time

    Bus to the Border

    Femme Fatale
End the threat of the Vixens gang.

    STORY

The Fourth faction in the game can be started from Lieutenant Rank and completed once you make it to Major Rank. The six missions are:

    • Daylight Archaeology – Lieutenant Rank
    • A Test of Metal – Lieutenant Rank
    • Fox Hunt – Captain Rank
    • Babes, Boats and Bullets – Captain Rank
    • Girl’s Best Friend – Major Rank
    • Whiplash – Major Rank

The hardest Vixen’s mission is probably Whiplash as it’s sometimes difficult once she is down to the 50% health margin. This is only because she jumps to a helicopter and uses it and a grenade launcher to take you out, providing limited opportunities to shoot at her if you are not close enough. Below are videos to help you with each mission:

    Daylight Archaeology

    A Test of Metal

    Fox Hunt

    Babes, Boats and Bullets

    Girl’s Best Friend

    Whiplash

    Dragon’s Fury
End the threat of the Killer 66 gang.

    STORY

The final faction in the game can be started from Captain Rank and completed once you make it to Commander Rank. The six missions are:

    • Guardian – Captain Rank
    • The Big Game – Captain Rank
    • Synthetic Science – Major Rank
    • Pursuit Plunder – Major Rank
    • Risky Business – Major Rank
    • Monster Toshima – Commander Rank

Out of all the Killer 66, there isn’t really a difficult one as such, however, in the author’s opinion, Monster Toshima would be it. The only reason is his fight, he is armed with a flamethrower and it can total your vehicle in seconds. Below are videos to help you with each mission:

    Guardian

    The Big Game

    Synthetic Science

    Pursuit Plunder

    Risky Business

    Monster Toshima

    Officer No More
    Earn the rank of sergeant.

You will start off as an Officer and need to work your way up the career ladder until you reach Commander status. By the time you are a commander, you will have taken out all except Killer 66. Below you can find out what you need to do to reach each rank.

(You will be Commander for this)

    Citizen’s Assist
Commandeer a civilian vehicle during a Career mode case.

This will most like be obtained through the natural progression of the cases, the author got this on Case 1: Daylight Archaeology, of the Vixens campaign when jumping to the first Speed Boat.

    See You in Court
Arrest 20 gang members during Career mode cases.

    MISSABLE

The only real way to miss this is to not arrest people, which can only be achieved when you are on foot rather than in a car. You do this by running up to the enemy and pressing the X Button. This will subdue the enemy as a hostage who you can take into custody rather than shooting holes in. There are plenty of opportunities throughout the game to achieve this, just remember to run up to enemies and arrest them rather than shooting all the time.

    NOTE:

The Vixens are the only faction that you do not fight on foot, all their missions are vehicle-based, unlike the other factions.

    Impound King
Capture 20 gang vehicles during Career mode cases.

    UNMISSABLE

This will be achieved through the natural progression of the different campaigns. All you need to do is jump to enemy vehicles, which you will need to do a lot of and shoot the enemies inside.

    Lethal Efficiency
Perform a Fatality ×3 combo during any Career mode case.

    UNMISSABLE

In order to get this you will need to achieve a Fatality X3, which might sound hard at first but there are plenty of opportunities throughout the game to achieve this. Arguably it is easier to get this in combination with Bullet Time! when jumping to another vehicle, however, it is entirely possible to get it on foot when you are surrounded by any of the factions. The trick is to just kill 3 enemies with your gun within a few seconds of each other. The reason that being on foot is a better option is you tend to have more enemies clumped together meaning more of a chance to get it.

    It’ll Buff Out
Perform a Brute Force ×3 combo during any Career mode case.

    MISSABLE

Much like the Lethal Efficiency Trophy, however, this is for side ramming in a vehicle. You can use whatever vehicle you would like but the Police Pursuit Car is a good idea for this. Like the Lethal Efficiency trophy, you will need to side-ram 3 times in rapid succession. This can be more than a little tricky so it is recommended to do this on a mission like Legal Eagle (yes, you don’t have the Pursuit Car in this mission but it will still work in any car), which will have an enemy armoured car and other cars after you. This is because you can bounce off the armoured car and into another or multiple others. It can be seen in a few of the videos above.

    Bullet Time!
Perform a Justice Shot during any Career mode case.

    UNMISSABLE

This will probably be achieved on the second mission, either Case 2: Cold Contact for the Capelli Family or Case 1: Toxic Convoy for the Warlords. All you need to do is jump to an enemy vehicle while you have full Justice, See below.

You gain Justice by performing Heroic actions like:

    • Brute Force (Side-Ramming)
    • Arrested (When on foot only)
    • Fatality (Killing enemies with your Guns)
    • Capture (Jumping to and taking over an Enemy Vehicle)

(Note: Fatality and Brute Force can stack giving X2 or X3. This might give slightly more as a stacking bonus but it is unclear)

Once you have the full bar all you need to do is Jump to the enemies vehicle and the game will automatically add a slow-motion effect where you will be able to shoot at the enemies in the vehicle you are jumping to. If you get lucky you can actually kill all of them, however, this is mainly if there are only 1 or 2 in the vehicle.

    Second Wind
Use Full Justice to recover your health or vehicle durability during any Career mode case.

    UNMISSABLE

Much like Bullet Time! you will need a full Justice Bar, however, for this one, you will need to press Triangle Button, when you are in a vehicle that is low in health. This is almost a requirement for Case 1: Rat Race from the Capelli Family Campaign so you shouldn’t have too much trouble doing this. It is also near impossible to complete the game without doing this in some cases.

    Number One Henchman
Get 1st in any race in Race mode.

This is a personal preference for which race you actually do, however, to help you there are two different races below to outline what you can do to get this trophy.

Number One Henchman Trophy (First Witness)

    Number One Henchman Trophy (Quarantine)

They show the first two missions that are available in the Races. All you need to do is come first in the race and the trophy is yours, it doesn’t matter if you don’t get the best time, just as long as you come in first.

    What’s the Rush?
Earn the best time in any Time Trial.

Much like the Number One Henchman trophy, however, this one will see you racing against the clock rather than other competitors. Like the above trophy, there are two different methods of doing this trophy highlighted below.

What’s the Rush? Trophy (Vulture Canyon: Route 1)

What’s the Rush? Trophy (Interstate 77: Route 1)

For this you will need to beat the best time, where it sounds difficult it’s not as hard as it sounds.

    Impressive Report
Earn an A rating in any Career mode case.

You will probably gain this a few times throughout the cases, however, there are a few that are above in the following trophies that resulted in an A Rating, which are:

    New Set of Wheels
Unlock 10 vehicles through good performance in Career mode cases.

    UNMISSABLE

This will be achieved through the completion of the cases, and achieving A Ranking on them. For a full breakdown of what vehicles there are in the game and where to unlock them see below.

You only require 10 of them so it is not all that difficult, and you will get more than 10 by just completing the Cases. Some are only unlocked through the acquisition of an A Ranking so be aware if you don’t get one of them and you didn’t get an A Ranking that might be why.

    Appreciating the Arts
View 5 unique images in the Gallery.

    MISSABLE

This is possibly the hardest of the trophies in the game and will require you to obtain an A Rating in a selection of different Cases, and Races. Unfortunately, there is a grand total of 42 pieces of artwork that you can collect, fortunately, all you need to do is get 5, which isn’t too bad, and will probably come through the natural progression of the game. There are some recommendations below which are relatively easy to achieve the A Rating.

    • Race: Quarantine (Image Number 16)
    • Race: First Witness (Image Number 17)
    • Capelli Family: Case 1: Rat Race (Image Number 1)
    • Capelli Family: Case 4: Witness Protection (Image Number 3)
    • Warlords: Case 2: Hardware Hijack (Image Number 2)
    • Warlords: Case 5: Day of the Dam (Image Number 7)
    • Convicts: Case 5: A Snitch in Time (Image Number 9)
    • Convicts: Case 6: Bus to the Border (Image Number 4)
    • Killer 66: Case 3: Synthetic Science (Image Number 13)

The above is what the author can confirm from their play-through and which they found easiest. The videos above for the mission should be used as a guide to gain the rank that you want.

Once you have obtained the Artwork all you need to do is head over to the gallery and view 5 of the pieces that you have unlocked in order to obtain the trophy.

    Kicked off the Pursuit Force
    Fail a Career mode case.

    MISSABLE

Simply fail and see the result screen, the only way to avoid getting this trophy is if you use the rewind function before you see the result screen. You can fail in a number of ways ranging from Death to running out of time or a protection target being killed.

    Bad with Directions
Go the wrong way in any game mode.

    MISSABLE

Just turn around at the start of a mission. It is not that simple but honestly, all you need to do is go the wrong way, Case 1: Ski Run Rampage for the Convicts is probably the best to do this as you start off driving slowly and no enemies are around. Just back up and get the Wrong Way icon at the top of the screen and the trophy is yours.

    Enjoy the Sea Breeze
Park in a parking space in Corsair Bay.

    MISSABLE

This one is one of the most bizarre and confusing trophies in the game as it doesn’t give any hints, however, all you need to do is park your car in a parking space. In a city the size of Corsair Bay you would think that it would be easy, however, there are limited parking bays when you actually want them. Thankfully there is a spot in Case 3: Wilde’s Boys for the Convicts. In this mission you are driving around a scenic seaside area before you encounter some convicts, after a little way around you will notice a parking area on your right, head into it and park in one of the many bays available to gain the trophy, below you can find an image and video.

    Enjoy the Sea Breeze Trophy
