The Rabbids are back, this time going to ancient China to make some party game chaos only the Rabbids could. Here is our Rabbids: Party of Legends Review.

The game was developed by Ubisoft Chengdu and published by Ubisoft, it was released on August 5, 2021, exclusively in China, but was for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC a year later.

After a 10-year break, the Rabbids decided to come back and party some more after they travel to Ancient China with their time-traveling washing machine. There isn’t really much of a big story mode, just a board game type mode that has some story where you can unlock new mini-games, for me this was the main mode to play because I was playing alone, but I didn’t mind that what I did mind was some of the choices that were made for the game that really shoots itself in the foot and killed the majority of my enjoyment.

There is no online multiplayer… A game based on playing against others that misses this feature in this gaming climate is just crazy to me. I only started playing it because our editor Mike wanted to play together, but when we finally installed the game and both booted it up, we quickly found out we were unable to play together due to the missing online feature.

Rabbids: Party of Legends Review - plates mini-game

The game itself is structurally very fun to play for a bit, but after a while, you do start noticing that only a few of the mini-games are unique and that the majority are reskinned a few times, multiple dance mini-games are the same but the original ones that are there are very good. They did add something that was nice and that was the level system, the better you do, the more exp you get, and leveling up will unlock new characters for you to play as and also some new mini-games to do.

    SUMMARY

For a game centered around having fun with friends, its a shame that there is no multiplayer feature, but the core of the game is very good.
