The Saints are back in Saints Row: A Song of Ice and Dust, a brand new DLC for the Saints Row 2022 reboot. Here is our Saints Row: A Song of Ice and Dust Review.

Saints Row: A Song of Ice and Dust is developed by Deep Silver Volition en published by Plaion (formerly known as Koch Media). The DLC was released on PC, Xbox One, Series X/S, Playstation 4, and PlayStation 5 on August 08, 2023.

The gang is back in their LARPing gear and gets ready to defeat a new group of enemies led by the Ice Queen. With a story and missions based on Game of Thrones (the good seasons), the gang does whatever it takes to take down the Queen, even making friends with previous foes in their LARP escapades.

Comparing this DLC to the other 2, this is the first Saints Row DLC that actually felt like a full-story DLC. It’s still not extremely long, but there was a lot more to it than the 30-minute 1st one or the extremely boring 2nd DLC. This DLC takes about 1 or 2 hours to finish and I think I spend more time with just this DLC than the other 2 combined and really making the 10$ price tag worth the amusing story.

I know not everyone liked the LARP story-line from the base game, but if you do, then this is not just more of the same, this is kinda an extra bit of story then continues from the end of the base game’s LARP story and brings characters back in a pretty good and reasonable way as well. For Thor fans, there is even a mission and weapon that will be cool for you as well.

The look of the enemies are cool but they do kinda look alike most of the time and it turns into a blue paint battle at times when you are close up. The DLC also came with a new region where the story takes place with cars of cardboard and cool buildings also made out of it making the whole area a perfect location to spend some time in.

    SUMMARY

As Saints Row DLC's go, this is probably the best you are going to get with a cool story inspired by Game of Thrones and Thor.
