    Roadmap:

Step 1: Monkey See, Monkey Do (Optional)
This stage is for completing the game collecting everything and getting ready so you know what you need to do for the Speed Run, I am Speed. This is an optional stage and you could always just jump into completing the game in the Speed Run time on your first attempt, which is ill-advised. It is far more beneficial to learn what you have to do and find the “pinch Points” throughout the game that you will have trouble with, such as the sections referred to in:

    • Can’t Cat-ch Me
    • Sneakitty
    • Pacifist

In addition to these areas, there are the ones that are not Trophy related like the Prison. Other things are the Open areas like The Slums and the Big City, both of these areas can be disorientating and overwhelming when you first enter them, for this reason, it is ideal that you know what you are doing for your I am Speed run. This will limit the time you need to think about where you need to go and give you prior knowledge of what is coming from a first-hand experience.

As stated in the Stage title it is optional, this means you can attempt the I am Speed trophy first, having a blind run to get you through and then use chapter select to get the collection and everything else. Keep in mind that you will need to go from Chapter 1 (Scratching Posts) to the end of the game, meaning you might as well just start a new game. This would only alter if you use the Scratching Posts in Chapters 1 – 3 during your I am Speed Run.

    You’ll be earning these trophies:

    Boom Chat Kalaka
    No More Lives
    Scratch
    Missed Jump

Step 2: Fast as Lightning, I am Speed!
Here is where you will want to make the most of your prior experience in the game and complete the game as fast as you can. Honestly, it isn’t all that bad and you can make a good amount of mistakes and die a few times before you complete the game. 2 Hours might sound like a short time limit compared with how long you spent completing the initial (if you have completed it prior) playthrough, however, it is actually pretty lenient. Please refer to the I am Speed trophy for more information.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:

    Trophy Guide:

    All Done
    Unlock all Trophies

Freedom is yours once more, and you have opened the lockdown for the citizens looking to escape, good job little cat.

    A Little Chatty
    Meow 100 Times

This is simple and can be done the second you enter chapter one after the initial downpour. Simply mash the Circle Button and your cat will Meow. You only need to do this a total of 100 times and you can do it at any interval in the game even in cut scenes.

    Cat-a-Pult
    Jump 500 Times

You will obtain this through your adventure, it’s near impossible to miss as it’s a core mechanic of the game and other than walking/running there is only jumping to navigate your world. The downside to this is you need to do it on an object, you can’t just simply jump as you would in other games. Below is an image to highlight the jumping prompt.

    Productive Day
Sleep for more than one hour

As simple as this trophy sounds it is actually rather boring. All you need to do is sleep for a total of an hour… in real-time. The idea is good, however, the implementation is a little bad, this is only because you need something else to do for an entire hour away from the game. To do this you will need to be in a “Nap Spot” which could have some cushions or something that looks comfortable for your cat to go to sleep on. below are some examples.

Once you find a place you like all you need to do is interact with the Triangle Button and wait an hour for your trophy. It is highly advised to have something else to do while you wait the time as what else can you do with the game.

    Boom Chat Kalaka
    Dunk the Basketball

Once you make it to Chapter 4 and have been accepted by the robots you will be able to look around. From the Guardian robot, you will want to turn Right and you should see a ball on a ledge, there is an image below highlighting this.

All you need to do is walk into this ball and have it roll down into the bucket directly below. The trophy is that simple however it can be a little finicky as the Physics of the objects can interfere and being Physics it might not react how you expect. To help a little there is a video below.

    Can’t Cat-ch Me
Complete the first Zurk pursuit without being caught

This is achieved at the end of Chapter 2. Once you have passed the dying robot you will follow a narrow path and reach a cut scene where your cat will sense the impending danger. This is where this trophy will begin. Upon taking control of the cat you will need to sprint away from all the little orange death blobs. In order to get this trophy however you will need to get through this sequence without getting grappled by any of them, and there are a lot to avoid. Below is a video to help guide you through this short section of the game along with some tips.

    TIPS:

    • You can retry if you are grabbed. Simply pause and restart Checkpoint.
    • Use a zig-zagging tactic, when necessary
    • In close-quarters areas, it’s best to ark around the Zurk at a generous distance. Don’t go too close or too far from groups, they can jump and get you easy!
    • Don’t stop running!
    • The ending is the worse part as it looks like you get swamped. DO NOT Panic there is a way out!
    • You will need a certain degree of Luck in some parts, if the layout of enemies looks unfavourable try restarting the checkpoint. This changed the layout of enemies slightly for the author, but only slightly!
    • Once you get to the Stairs leading up you are practically home free, don’t let your guard down until you get the end cutscene, however!
    Sneakitty
Go through Midtown without being detected by the Sentinels

This trophy is achieved in chapter 10 and takes place in 2 segments not far from one another. Essentially you are turned into Snake from MGS for a small segment of the game. The enemies that you will need to avoid in this portion are floating robots which project a light, like most stealth games they have 3 coloured light states:

    • Blue
      • Unaware of your existence, Partrolling for hostiles.
    • Yellow
      • Aware of you, Searching for hostiles.
    • Red
      • Attacking you, Has seen you and is trying to naturalise you.

For this, you must make it through the Battery factory and to as well as from the apartment. This might sound like a lot but there are only really 11 enemies that you actively need to worry about. Once you have escaped the apartment and are back on the streets heading for the Nightclub you will get the trophy, provided you have not been seen. Below is a video to help you.

    No More Lives
    Die 9 Times

So you are a cat, cats have 9 lives, so this trophy makes sense to be in the game. All you need to do is literally die 9 times and the trophy is yours. There is a catch however, in order to die you will need enemies, which are Sentinal bots or Zurks. that means that the only chapters you can do this in are as follows:

    • Chapter 2: Dead City
    • Chapter 5: Rooftops
    • Chapter 7: Dead End
    • Chapter 8: The Sewers
    • Chapter 10: Midtown
    • Chapter 11: Jail

These are the only chapters throughout the game that have enemies that can and will kill you Zurk is the most common of all the enemy types in the game however they seem to kill you slower than Sentinal bots. The best chapter to do this in is probably Chapter 7: Dead End, the reason for this is the enemies are located not far from the beginning of the level and you can just quickly farm 9 deaths here. Alternatively, you head to one of the other sections that have a checkpoint before enemies, like Chapter 11: Jail, with the encounter that you are breaking B-12 out.

    NOTE:

You will probably need to farm out the deaths as you will more than likely not get the 9 in the progression of the game.

    Scratch
Scratch the Vinyl in the Club

This is achieved at the end of Chapter 10 once you have the objective to head to the Nightclub, after obtaining the battery. Once you enter there is a table to the far side of the bar from your entry point which has a record on it, grab it and head over to the DJ’s to place it on the turntable. All you need to do now is interact with it using the Triangle Button prompt and scratch.

    Pacifist
Complete the Sewers without killing any Zurks

This trophy is another like the Can’t Cat-ch Me, all you need to do for this trophy is make it through Chapter 8 without using the L1 Button to kill any of the Zurks. As hard as this sounds it is pretty easy to get through without needing to kill any of them. There are however some tricky parts to this chapter, like where all the pods are and the run sequence at the end. The pods can all be avoided by following the designated path on the ground highlighted by its concrete appearance, and staying a good distance from them. You will know if you get too close as they will glow and blob around. The run sequence is just that, a fast run to the end of the chapter where you can’t actually kill the Zurk, so just focus on keeping them away and if they grab you throw them off using the Circle Button. There is a video below to help.

    I am Speed
Complete the game in less than 2 Hours

This will be the one trophy in the game that might put off some players as Time Trials are normally nasty, this one however is pretty generous in the time needed to actually finish the game. The goal is speed, and not stopping to think for too long, for this reason, it is a good idea to have an understanding of what you need to do in the game and know where to go. Below are some tips and a video walkthrough of the game.

    TIPS:

    • The key is speed
    • Pause the game to stop the timer
    • You have to watch cutscenes, which will add to the timer
    • Dying or Restarting a Checkpoint will result in losing time
    • It is advised to periodically back up your save to the Cloud or a removable Datastick to have a safety net.
    • Don’t go for the collection, where it is possible you will more than likely come dangerously close to the time limit.
    • The Main Menu will track the time you have been playing, use this as a guide for your time.

    STORY

Upon watching your cat be free and happy in the rays of the sun you will obtain the trophy and the credits will roll.

    Meowlody
Bring all the music sheets to Morusque

    COLLECTABLE

This trophy can only be obtained in Chapter 4 during your first visit to the Slums. The idea of this is to locate the 8 sheets of Music for the musician sitting to the Left of the Guardian Robot and down the stairs. They are scattered throughout the Slums and can be found pretty easily. Once you have located all 8 Pieces return to the musician and hand them over, he will play each sheet of music once you give one to him before you can give him another. Below is an image of the person for reference.

Please refer to I Remember! for more information.

    Curiosity Killed the Cat
    Wear the paper bag

    COLLECTABLE

For this trophy, you will be required to wear a Paper Bag, which can be found in the Slums during Chapters 4 and 6. There are a few opportunities throughout the slums to find a bag to put on your head, however, there is an Image and Video below to help you out.

    Cat-a-strophe
Try to play mahjong with the robots

    COLLECTABLE

This is achieved in chapter 9 when you head to the Antvillage. Once you have seen the introductory cutscene with B-12 remembering something important about his past you can head up the ladder to your left and should see just the to the left, around a pillar, there are two robots at a table. If you head over to them and jump on the table you will disrupt their game of Mahjong and earn a neat little trophy. There is an image below with a video to help you.

    Cat’s best friend
    Nuzzle up against 5 robots

    COLLECTABLE

Please refer to I Remember! for more information.

    I Remember!
    Gather all B-12 Memories

    COLLECTABLE

For the collection trophies, which refer you to here, you will need to find each location and complete the requirement, whether collecting a memory for B-12, Scratching, or performing a set of tasks that results in a pin badge. Below is a table that illustrates the remaining types of Collectables, a video of all the collectables in Stray (not including Key/ Quest Items) and some information on each.

    Collectable typeImage Reference
    Nuzzle
    Memories
    Badges
    Scratching PointTree Scratching Point

    Carpet Scratching Point

    Scratching Points:

Throughout the game you can come across points where your cat can scratch and mark its territory, all you need to do is interact and quickly scratch using the L2 + R2 Buttons. There are multiple places in chapters like The Slums and Midtown so you shouldn’t need to worry too much about this, in the chapter that only have a single point you will need to make sure not to miss it or you will need to go back and do it after playing through the chapter that far.

    Badges:

Pin Badges are just little decorations for B-12’s charge unit which is worn by the cat, there are a total of 6 that you will need to locate throughout the game, which are:

    • Music Badge
    • Outsider Badge
    • Plant Badge
    • Cat Badge
    • Police Badge
    • Neco Badge

They normally require you to complete a small task like collecting something and returning it.

    Memories:

Memories come in all shapes and sizes and are different things, they could be graffiti on the wall, an object in the world, or even progressing in the story. The video has the Core Memories included, as they are a collectable and a pivotal landmark to help with other collectables. The ones that you will want to focus your attention on are the Optional Memories, which can be seen as differentiated below in the reference image.

The five larger blocks on the top are the Core Memories which will be illustrated in Orange once completed, and the 22 smaller blocks are the optional memories which you will need to focus on, once completed they will turn Blue. Conveniently the chapter highlights the number of memories that are available in that chapter by giving a lighter Grey shade, which can be seen below.

    Nuzzle:

These are only found in Chapters 4/6 and Chapter 10. There is a Nuzzle opportunity in Chapter 9, however, that one doesn’t seem to count towards the trophy, there for it has not been included. Overall there are 10 possibilities, and the earliest you can obtain this trophy is Chapter 10, even with the ones from the Slums.

    Télé à chat
Browse through all of the TV Channels

    COLLECTABLE

This trophy is achieved, like the Music Sheets, in the slums, which are Chapters 4 and 6. It is best to get this in Chapter 4, on your first visit as it is near the objectives, and you will not need to go out of your way during Chapter 6 this would mean. The idea is that you interact with a remote control for the TV that has been left on the sofa, doing so 7/8 times will result in the trophy. Below is a video to help you.
