![]() | Combat Ready ![]() Fully upgrade a weapon |
For this trophy, you will be required to fully upgrade a single weapon. In context to the game, this is not a hard task as you have a good number of weapons you can use for this however the best one is probably the 9mm Pistol. This is because it is the weapon you start with, however, the Flamethrower has the least amount to upgrade, it is also the weapon that you get in a late stage of the game and personally, for the author, a more useless weapon as you can play in easy. Below is a table of available upgrades.
Weapon | Upgrades | Image Reference |
9mm Pistol | Reload Speed: 3 Levels Capacity: 4 Levels Fire Rate: 3 Levels | ![]() |

Whichever you pick is up to you, however, you will need to have a few things before you can attempt this. The first is the scrap, and the second is the tools. Below is a breakdown of where you can find the tools and what they are, in addition to the level that they will unlock.
Workbench Tool | Where to Find it | What Level it Unlocks | Image Reference |
Pliers | Bills Town | 1 | ![]() ![]() |
File | Pittsburgh | 2 | ![]() ![]() |
Gun Brush | The Suburbs | 3 | ![]() ![]() |
Wrench | The University | 4 | ![]() ![]() |
Awl | Bus Depot | 5 | ![]() ![]() |
Once you have collected all 5 of the tools you will see them in the Workbenches Tool Roll in the top corner of the screen, like seen below.

Now that we have touched on the Tools you need, there is also the case of the Scrap that is needed to make the Upgrade, think of it as the Purchase Currency. To get Scrap you can literally find it laying around, there is an image below showing it.

See those gun parts on the table? they are the scrap that you are looking for. The Tape and the Safety Knife are crafting resources which can be used to make things like Shivs, please refer to Geared Up For more information.
In addition to the Weapons that you can upgrade are the amount of “Active Weapons” which take the form of a new holster for each of the weapon types, Short Guns, and Long Guns. Short Guns are Handguns and are referred to in most games as Sidearms, whereas Long Guns are things like Rifles. Although you do not need the Holsters they can help you hot-swap weapons faster in combat and in some situations save you from being killed by enemies.

![]() | Build Em Up, Break Em Down ![]() Upgrade and then break one of every melee weapon |
For this trophy, you will need to upgrade a Melee weapon of each type and use it on an enemy. This is a simple trophy to do however will take you a while. The first time that you can do this is in Bill’s Town, and you will find an upgraded weapon which you can use as an example. This is a Metal Pipe, which is upgraded with blades on either side of the head of the pipe. Once you use this against an enemy your bladed head will break and you will need to craft it back for it to count towards the trophy, Remember to use it on an enemy as well.
Overall there are Five weapons that you will need to obtain and upgrade before subsequently breaking. Below you can find a table of them with what they need to upgrade.

![]() | Lights Out ![]() While in stealth, turn off the spotlight generator in Pittsburgh. |
This will be at the end of your adventure in Pittsburgh after meeting Henry and Sam. Once you have rested up for the night crew to take over, you will start this sequence where you will need to work in stealth to get to the spotlights generator and disable it before you are detected. It isn’t really all that difficult all you need to do is avoid being seen by the guys on foot and stay out of the spotlight. It might sound easier said than done but it really is easy, just take it slow and use your focus mode to locate and track enemies, if you are not using the Accessibility HCD Mode. Once you get to the generator you will need to have enough time to actually disable it, just simply wait for the guard to go away from the generator and then make your move. Below is a video to help you.
![]() | Waterlogged ![]() Ride the sewer contraption with Henry and Sam |
STORY
You will obtain this in the Suburbs, once you have helped Ellie across the water. All you need to do is climb out of the water and onto the platform. There is a chance you can miss getting on the platform before Ellie moves it but the game gives you enough time to make it to the platform. Below is a video for reference.
![]() | Left Hanging ![]() Leave Ellie hanging after a job well done |
Upon making it to the Hydroelectric Dam you will need to help Ellie across to open the sluice gate to make a path for you to cross. There is a handle on your side which will make half the bridge and one on the other side which needs to be turned to make a bridge for Joel to cross. Upon walking across Ellie will prompt you for a high-five and for this trophy all you need to do is walk away from her and leave her a moment.
![]() | Who’s A Good Boy? ![]() Pet Buckley the dog |
This is inside the Dam when Tommy is showing you around the site, before heading into the Generator room you will see a dog, refer to the reference below.

All you need to do is walk up to the dog and interact.
![]() | Nobody’s Perfect ![]() Played the Jak X game in Left Behind |
This trophy is part of The Last Of Us: Left Behind and can be achieved in Raja’s Arcade, there is a reference to the entrance to the arcade below.

Once you head inside head to the back Right and find a Racing Arcade Machine, referencing back to Naughty Dog’s Jak & Daxter franchise. For this trophy all you need to do is interact with the machine and watch Ellie drive, once she gets up the trophy will unlock. Below is a reference for the Game Cabinet.

![]() | Brick Master ![]() Win the brick throwing contest |
This trophy is part of The Last Of Us: Left Behind and can be achieved in the second sequence in Ellies Memory. The objective is to break all the windows on 4×4 that Riley points out as yours, below is an image you can use to gauge as reference.

As the subtitles say, the Red one is the one that you’re going to need to break the windows on. There are 7 windows in total which are broken down as such.
- Windscreen
- Driver Window
- Rear Driver Window
- Passenger Window
- Rear Passenger Window
- Rear Window
- Skylight
Once you have broken all the windows, and provided you are faster than Riley, your trophy will unlock. For additional assistance, there is a video below.
![]() | Angel Knives ![]() Defeat Black Fang without getting hit |
This trophy is part of The Last Of Us: Left Behind and can be achieved in Raja’s Arcade, there is a reference to the entrance to the arcade below.

For this trophy, you will need to interact with and play the arcade game The Turning, below is a reference.

What you need to do in order to win this is beat Blackfang without taking a single hit. This is actually way easier than it sounds and, from the author’s point of view, this was the bane of the game on PS4. The reason for this is the little Restart Checkpoint trick didn’t work when tested, on the PS5 version of the game this does work and should be utilised if you take damage or miss a combo. Below you can see the combos that you need to perform.

Below you can see the fight interface, Ellie will be visualising the fight using Riley’s descriptions and prompts to fight. The player health is set up like you would find in Mortal Kombat and the only difference is that the Blue descending Bar is a timer. This timer is the time that you will need to react to perform your attack or take damage. Overall it is generous until you get to the last few actions which move fast, thankfully you can pause the game and take a moment to compose yourself or check a cheat sheet of moves. It should be noted that just like in Mortal Kombat you need to be sort of proficient with the controls, this means that you need to be able to have the buttons pressed almost at the same time. The key to this is speed so the faster you can pull off the move the better your chance of winning without damage. That being said if you jump the gun and act without the prompt being on screen you will be damaged and the same goes for pressing the wrong button.

Once you have defeated Blackfang don’t let your guard down, like in Mortal Kombat you will have a Finisher to perform. There is no consequence to failing the Finisher so don’t worry so much if you do fail it, just don’t fail any of the other sequences. If you do just remember to restart the checkpoint. Below is a video to help you with both arcade games, Nobody’s Perfect and Angel Knives.
![]() | Skillz ![]() Win the water gun fight |
This trophy is part of The Last Of Us: Left Behind and can be achieved at the end of the memory sequence with Riley. You will go through a Maintenance hall and come to an electronics store, here Riley will give you the water guns and a fun challenge will erupt.

The goal is to beat Riley 2 times, by filling her Soak Meter in the bottom left of the screen. All you need to do is shoot at her the same you would any enemy in the game when you find her, below is a video to give some guidance. Once you win the second round the trophy will unlock.
![]() | Live Bait ![]() Use bricks or bottles to lure an infected into attacking a human |
This trophy is part of The Last Of Us: Left Behind and can be achieved at the end, during the last sequence after you regain consciousness in the helicopter. The goal is to utilise your enemies to kill other enemies, basically an “Enemy of My Enemy” situation. This is going to happen in the Sports Shop, you will emerge from some vents and find some Clickers below you and in front of you some human enemies, there is an image below for reference.

All you need to do is throw a brick or bottle into the distance near where the human enemies are and watch the Clickers kill them. This might take a little waiting but eventually, the Clickers will be killed off and you can pick off the Humans who managed to stay alive. Below is a video.
