Welcome to the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Remastered: Extended Collection Trophies Trophy Guide! Had enough of the main trophy list and want to sink your teeth into some new trophies, including a higher Difficulty, Time trials and some fun diversionary trophies? Take a look at what Naughty Dog has cooked up; you won’t be disappointed.

Trophy Roadmap:

Difficulty: 7/10
Estimated time to platinum/100%: 7 – 15 hours
Missable trophies: None
Glitched trophies: None
Difficulty related: Brutal Difficulty (DLC)
Playthrough: 2

Roadmap:

Step 1: Spanish Gold? Who Needs It?
During this stage of the game, you will be heading out to complete all the miscellaneous things that the Trophy List is asking of you, ignoring The Fat And The Furious and Need For Speed. The reason for this is that you need to complete a full-speed run of the game, and adding everything else in would just be asking for trouble. The other thing you will want to ignore is Charted! – Brutal. Ignoring the fact that it won’t unlock until you have completed Charted! – Crushing means you will probably have unlocked the Platinum Trophy.

You’ll be earning these trophies:

Supernatural Born Killers
Cosplay
YOLO Fortunately

Follow The Leader
Cheater Cheater

Step 2: Time Waits for No Man, but maybe Doughnuts Do?
During this stage, you will suffer through the Time trial and complete the full game, which means Start – Finish in a total of 2 Hours 30 Minutes. While this seems like a really strict timer, the game is pretty well spaced, and you can use easy mode. DO NOT USE EXPLORER Difficulty. If you have used anything lower than Easy Difficulty, then you will probably be kicking yourself since the trophy will not unlock for you. Easy is the lowest Difficulty you can achieve this on, you have been warned! In addition to the Time Trial, you will want to double this up with Doughnut Drake’s The Fat And The Furious, as it’s said, “It’s no use reinventing the wheel“, for this, it is too true, why would you spend hours on end completing the game in a Continuous Speed Run mode Twice if you don’t need to?

During this step, you’ll earn these trophies:

The Fat And The Furious
Need For Speed

Step 3: Wealth, Fame… Well, it was Within Your Grasp…
This final stage will see you heading into the newly patched-in mode for the Nathan Drake Collection, Brutal. To say it is difficult would be an understatement… If you were doing this legitimately. Thankfully, there is a glitch which will let you play through the game on an easy difficulty and still earn the trophy. Crazy, right? Too Good to be true, right? Well, there is a catch, which is that you need to complete the game in Crushing to even attempt this trophy. Now is the time when you think, “but Crushing was already so hard at times“, while this might be true, and Brutal does live up to its name, from this author’s standpoint, Stage 2 is far harder.

During this step, you’ll earn the following trophies:

Charted! – Brutal

Trophy Guide:

Charted! – Brutal
Finish the Game on Brutal Without Changing the Difficulty

As the name implies, this difficulty is the hardest and most unforgiving difficulty you can play on. Why? Let us ask you something: Would you describe a difficulty called brutal if it wasn’t meant to kill you? Look at Devil May Cry’s DMD (Dante Must Die) mode, where you and your enemies are 1 hit kills. See where this is going? Brutal is as hard as they come for Uncharted. In Thieves’ End and The Lost Legacy, you could at least get by using the implemented systems to your advantage. Throughout Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception, you have no such grace.

That being said, there is a nice, easy way to get you the trophies for Brutal and Crushing utilising the Crushing Exploit. It’s not really a necessary thing to try and do on Hard or below, besides the fact that what you will want to do this for, you will need to have completed Hard difficulty. The idea is you start the game on the difficulty you want. Once you take control of Drake, you pause and head into the Options and the Game Settings to change the difficulty. Change the difficulty to the next one down from what you picked. If you pick Crushing, you need to set the game to Hard; if you pick Brutal, you need to set the game to Crushing. Once you have, press the Options Button on the Controller. DO NOT press to go back or anything else. If done correctly, you will exit the menu and return to the game. Pause the game, and you should be in the menu, and if you check your difficulty, you should be in the lower difficulty you just set. From here, you will be able to enable the Tweaks while still in the difficulty you downgraded to (Provided you completed this difficulty). It is recommended to enable the following to make life easier;

  • Infinite Ammo
  • One-Shot Kills

While useful, it is personal Preference if you want to enable Slow Motion or Super Slow Motion, but once you have enabled all the tweaks you would like, just head back to the difficulty selection in the Game Options. From here, reset the difficulty you started in and press the Options Button to exit the menu. That is all there is to it. Now you will be playing on the greater difficulty while using bonuses from a lower difficulty. You can also enable whatever weapon you would like to be using, but remember that when you change chapters, or have events like when Drake is sent to prison, you will lose your chosen gun and need to redo the glitch.

Now, all you need to do is complete the game on this difficulty, and the trophy should unlock. The best part about this is the Tweaks stay active if you die, so you don’t need to reapply them if you happen to die. For assistance, there is a video below to guide you through a visual process.

Supernatural Born Killers
Defeat 5 Descendants With a Sniper Rifle

Descendants are the ghouls that used to be the Spaniards. Below is an image:

Uncharted Enemy

Once you reach Chapter 17: The Heart Of the Vault, you will meet the Descendants for the first time upon finding Sir Francis and make a “Last Stand” with Eddy. From this point on, you will encounter Descendants. The earliest you can get your hands on a Dragon Sniper is near the end of Chapter 19: Unwelcome Guests, when you are battling your way through the Submarine Hangar. Conveniently, you are given 2 of them in this section, and a fair few Descendants. You can also restart the Checkpoint to get more kills and bullets. Simply kill 5 Descendants with your Dragon, and the trophy is yours.

Cosplay
Kill an Enemy While Playing as an Alternate Character Costume Other Than Drake

For this trophy, all you need to do is change from playing as the standard Drake outfit to a different skin. Since The Fat and The Furious asks you to play as Doghnut Drake, you can’t combine this with that to get both trophies. You do this in the Options, and it is outlined in The Fat and The Furious

YOLO Fortunately
Beat the Last Chapter Without Dying on Normal Difficulty or Higher

This trophy asks you to complete the final chapter, which is Chapter 22: Showdown, on one of the following difficulties:

  • Normal
  • Hard
  • Crushing
  • Brutal

Since the trophy is asking you to complete the chapter without dying on one of these difficulties, it is recommended to go for Normal as it’s more forgiving; however, it is a personal choice. The mission wants you to battle your way to the front of the ship, where Navarro is situated with his Spas 12 Shotgun. Along the way, you will need to take out all the reinforcements which Navarro calls until you can confront him on the Helicopter platform. This is the only time when this trophy is difficult, as Navarro is a one-shot kill to you, no matter the difficulty you are playing in. The idea is to dart between the crates, which are conveniently placed every time Navarro breaks them. When he breaks the last one, run up to him and attack. This is when you have a short QTE before getting knocked to the ground and needing to run up to him and attack him again. If you attack him in time before he gets his shotgun back and on his feet, you can beat the chapter and earn this trophy.

The Fat and the Furious
Complete a Continuous Speed Run as Doughnut Drake

Please refer to Need For Speed for more information.

Follow the Leader
Compare Statistics with Friends

All you need to do for this trophy is head into the Bonuses and into Statistics. From here, all you need to do is pick something and compare on a leaderboard, and the trophy should unlock.

Need for Speed
Achieve a Complete Speed Run Time of Less than 2 Hours and 30 Minutes

The list wouldn’t be complete without the need to add in a Speed Run, or a Continuous Speed Run for that matter. Instead of highlighting all the parts which you need to meet a timer for and so on, like that, there is a full Continuous Speed Run Video below (How Nice are we?).

There are a few things which you need to keep in mind; the first of these is the timer. The timer is important because you need to finish your run in under a total time of 2 Hours and 30 Minutes. The second is knowing the Puzzles along the way. Thirdly, during the parkour sections, you need to be completely aware of where you are going. Fourthly, you can play on any difficulty. Fifthly, play as Doughnut Drake to knock out The Fast And The Furious. Finally, during battle sequences, don’t just stand there, move around and do run-and-gun manoeuvres so you can keep feeling active. While some of these points seem dangerously obvious, it’s worth noting them properly.

The Timer:

While 2 and a half hours is a lot of time to complete 22 chapters in, some are short and take next to no time, while others take a considerable amount of time. Time Stamps have been added to the video to help keep a relative time and to skip to in case there is a specific chapter which is troubling. Below are the timestamps.

The Puzzles:

Throughout the adventure of Drake’s Fortune, there are only a few puzzles which will tax you or add unneeded time to your run. Here you can find all the puzzle answers which will give the most trouble outside of the Parkour.

Puzzle:Chapter:Referenece:
Preassur PlatesChapter 2: On The Path to El Dorado
The order you will need to hit them in is Back Right, Front Left, Back Left, Front Right. This is taken from the Way you enter the room.
Compass PuzzleChapter 11: Trapped
Crypt PuzzleChapter 15: On The Trail of the Treasure
You will need to turn the Shell Snake & Arrow icons to match what is shown in Drake’s Diary

The only other Puzzle which might prove troublesome is the one in Chapter 16: The Treasure Vault, but for that, please refer to A Speedy Reunion from the Base game list.

Parkour:

During the campaign, there are a few sequences where you will need to utilise your full Parkour training against the clock. Some of these are more trouble than they are worth, like Chapter 5: The Fortress or Chapter 18: The Bunker. Chapter 5: The Fortress has its own trophy in the base list, which is called These Walls Can’t Stop Me. However, in chapter 18: The Bunker, you will need to climb around the submarine pen and then confront some descendants in the bunker in order to turn the power on. Chapter 16: The Treasure Vault is also a little bad one, where you need to climb around the treasure vault in order to find your way to the end.

Difficulty:

Although you can play in any difficulty, it is advised to play through the time trial in Easy difficulty. This is for 2 main reasons.

  • Easy difficulty means you can take some risks
  • If you happen to make a mistake, you can correct it more easily on Easy

That being said, if you want to, you could play through on Normal or Hard; we don’t advise you to go for a difficulty past Hard or, realistically, doing this on Hard. Remember, the higher the difficulty, the more challenges you will be in for, and since you have a 2-hour and 30-minute deadline, you might be safer doing this on Easy.

The Fat And The Furious:

As previously stated, it is probably best to double this trophy with The Fat And The Furious, this will save time for the 100% and mean that you don’t need to spend time replaying the campaign yet again for a continuous speed run. The video does show this, but make sure when you load in and control Drake that you change the skin from the Normal Drake to the Doughnut Drake.

NOTE:

Although it shouldn’t apply to you since you should be combining the 2 trophies, if you turn off and return to your run later, you will need to reapply the Doughnut Drake Skin. It should also be mentioned that you can not alter the skin when on a vehicle, meaning that Chapters 7 and 12 are a bad point to leave the game or need to apply the skin.

Battle:

The final point is on battle, which is a fair few chapters, and in some it’s no small part. Chapters 12, 13, and 20 are all relatively large combat sequences, which can eat away at your timer.

In addition to all this, there are some general tips which might help:

  • Take your time
  • Think before you act
  • If you die or are about to, restart the Checkpoint; this will prevent you from losing time.
  • You can use Tweaks if you want
  • The timer is slightly out, or it will provide a grace period
  • Skip the Cutscenes. This will save you some time.
Cheater Cheater
Activate a Tweak

Upon completing the game in Normal or Hard, you will earn a Tweak. The only ones which are really worthwhile are the ones you earn from hard difficulty, which are for;

  • Infinite Ammo
  • One-Shot Kills

As you can imagine, Infinite Ammo or having the proverbial “Golden” Bullet, which kills even from grazing the enemy, would be useful. However, you can only use these in a difficulty which you have already cleared, meaning if you clear the game in Hard, you can only use them in difficulties up to Hard. This isn’t a problem, however, and if you would like to use them in a higher difficulty, please refer to Charted! – Brutal or Charted! – Crushing from the base game list, for information on them. Simply activating a Tweak isn’t a big issue and is something that can be ignored really until you need to, once you have completed the campaign.
