    Introduction:

    Welcome to the We Were Here Trophy Guide!
    We Were Here is the free pilot episode in a series of cooperative standalone puzzle adventures. Two players are trapped inside an abandoned castle, the only possessions you have left is a walkie-talkie with a familiar voice on the other end.

    Stage 1: Play as either The Explorer or The Librarian.
    Just play any role you like, this game is most fun with a friend, so just have a good time.

    Spoiler:

    At the end of the game, there will be a choice to either stand on a pressure plate and let your teammate go, or to leave while your teammate stands on the pressure plate. For this trophy, you are required to stay behind and let your teammate go.

    Die Hard Gold
    Play through the whole game without dying once

    This trophy requires you to get through the entire game without dying, but also you can’t fail a single puzzle either, even if it doesn’t result in a death.

    There are seven puzzles in the game to get through, and some of them aren’t random which will help since the explorer can get through it quicker if they know the solutions in advance.

    These puzzles are:

    • The Dungeon
    • Chess
    • Haunted Theater

    For the puzzle solutions, go to the trophies related to completing them perfectly.

    Happy Ending
    Have some confetti

    When in The Dungeon, Once you reach the red switch, just spam it until confetti pops out.

    This can only be unlocked for the explorer, the librarian will not get the trophy. And this will also disqualify you for the trophy Gold Die Hard.

    Eye See You Gold
    Perfect play ‘Between the eyes’

    The Explorer: 

    When starting, The Explorer will see a wall with symbols, and on either side pillars with eyes, each one of three different colors. From left to right tell the colors to the librarian, this is the pattern with the symbols you must press.

    The Librarian:

    When starting, The Librarian will have a poster on the wall with the same symbols and eyes, and you’ll have to match the color of the eyes the explorer sees’ to the same pattern on the poster.

    The Explorer:

    After progressing there will be painting with some unique characteristics. You’ll have to describe it to the Librarian and then place three tiles with symbols in the correct order, in the empty space below the painting.

    The Librarian:

    To the left of the poster with the eyes and the symbols, a door will open to a room full of painting, The Explorer will have to describe the painting, and then The Librarian will have to describe the symbols.

    Perfect play ‘Submerged Hallway’

    The Explorer:

    The Explorer will be in a room that slowly fills with water, there will be some stairs leading down and on the door a sign that has a color written out. The possible colors are
    • Green
    • Purple
    • Orange

    You’ll have to tell the Librarian this color.

    The Librarian:

    After exiting the room with the paintings you’ll have to go forwards turn right around the corner and enter the room on the left which is a bunch of stairs downwards. leading to 3 valves of different colors.

    • Blue
    • Red
    • Yellow

    These three colors can make the color The explorer will see.

    Red + BluePurple
    Red + YellowOrange

    13ac88.pngNote: Stay in the middle as much as possible, if you move too much to the right you can get clipped into a box which will get you stuck until you manage to escape, if you can escape that is, there is no jump feature in the game, so you’ll have to move around until your hitbox gets loose.

    The Explorer:

    The explorer will be in a dungeon, it’s the job of The Librarian to escort you to the correct spots that’ll allow you to trigger the switches for the different colored gates.

    The Librarian:

    In the Library, there is a staircase, and once you’re at the top there is a leaver right at the top, this will cause the map downstairs to glow with new information as shown below.
     

    The correct route is:

    Blue – Green – Blue – Red – Blue – Green

    The Explorer:

    You’ll be let into an outdoor area where you’ll slowly freeze and lose your vision, You’ll have about 5 minutes to complete a few tasks. First, you’ll have to turn on a generator.

    Firstly, go to the box in the back and hit  when it’s on green three times to get the lights on top to glow. Then head left and spin the lever next to it.

    The Librarian:

    As The Librarian, you’ll have to grab the film-roll near the map on the table, then take it upstairs, turn left and place it on the projector. This will play a film of the chess moves needed to progress.

    For those who aren’t familiar with chess, the piece names will be used for the explanation.

    The Explorer:

    After progressing through the chess puzzle, you’ll be in a hallway with a tiled floor, in front, there will be a book with 5 symbols. The Librarian will have multiple books scattered around the Library and each has different but very similar symbols on it. Each book has directions to escape the room by crossing the hall without dying. if you die on this, you’ll be instantly reset, but, the symbols on the book change, and the directions will be different.

    The Librarian:

    As the Librarian, it’s your job to lead The Explorer with the proper directions based on the book.

    Below is a list of all books and the proper direction.

    The Explorer:

    Now as the explorer, you’ll have to pull some spin levers to put out different assets on a stage that The Librarian can see. After every scene is on stage, you’ll have to pull the “Scene x” lever on the right side, then you can start on the next scene. There is also a Blood Light that you can use but is only needed in the last scene.

    The Correct order is:

    • Scene 1 – Castle + People
    • Scene 2 – Castle + Queen + King
    • Scene 3 – Castle + Queen + King + People
    • Scene 4 – Castle + Queen + People + Mad King
    • Scene 5 – King + Blood Light

    The Librarian:

    After The Explorer escapes the frozen outdoors, head upstairs and turn right and head to the door, it’ll lead to a theatre, head up the stairs to the stage and play the record player or vinyl player, gramophone… etc.
